What ohms did you say the clearos where on the 3.7 v PV?

What's an X2 PV? Is that the full name?

EDIT: I assume that's a volt X2 due to your banner.

EDIT AGAIN: Assuming it's the X2 volt 2.6 -2.9 ish ohms

Obviously, I'm not a volt user. I guess it's more "Plug and play" for them.

2.75 ohms at stated 3.6 volts regulation is 4.71273 watts. A bit cool actually. That improves battery life but doesn't always vaporize juice well. Poorly vaporized juice (either too hot or too cold) can give you harsh hits too...besides the nic level and/or flavorings. That's why people love VV...they can adjust it.

If your hits are better after it "warms up" a little, and then get worse if you set it down for a while that could be an indication that its too cool.

Also clean the contacts just to be sure you're not picking up any additional resistance from oxidation/gunk on the threads.

Just some thoughts.

Variable voltage will help you tailor the vape to suit your taste buds and vary the throat hit. Some juices are harsh at 3.7v even with a 3 ohm coil. There are Dekang juices that I vape at 3.2v on a 2.9 ohm atty just to cut the throat hit a bit. I vape 24mg juices and like 80pg/20vg much better than 100% pg.

Generally an all VG juice will be bland with heavy vapor production. It may be the atomizer/carto/tank or whatever you are using. As someone said, a dripper tip is the pinnacle of good vaping. You said X2 clearomizer. VG may not wick well on clearomizers. I'd suggest trying a 306 dripper atty for a base point comparison and go from there. You can vary the saturation that way for a control point reference.

Some nic bases contain a pepper additive to increase throat hit. That can cause irritation. Ask your vendor.

I'm going through the same thing - some juices irritate the heck out my throat - even cause my lips to swell a little and be numb. At first I thought it was PG but now I'm not so sure because there are juices with PG that don't bother me - the blu and nJoy King disposables, for example. I'm starting to think it is peppermint or menthol flavor that bothers me. I just mixed up 2 small batches of unflavored juice - 1 is 100% VG the other is 60/40 VG/PG. I'm going to try them both out on seperate days and see what it feels like.

The Blu doesn't use PG, they only use 100% VG from Johnson's Creek.

I know it's not my PG/VG mix because I used a wide variety from 100% VG to 50/50 and saw no improvement from any. So far cutting back the mg is what fixes it. I'm going back to my local shop today to pick up some more Pina Colada. Still unsure if I want to stick with 6mg or try 12mg. 6mg just seems TOO smooth imo. We shall see.

FWIW, when I started 27 days go with 24mg, I didn't think I would be able to continue it made me cough so bad. It took me some time to get the hang of puffing/inhaling the thing properly. It took about week. In less then month I feel like a veteran. I ws determined to not go back with smokes. I'm now divorced from them.

I tried different inhaling techniques, even playing with inhaling vapor into the mouth then inhaling a little more air and then taking it all into the lungs. Still got about the same effect. It helped some, but not enough for me to be able to enjoy it. I think I'm going to try 12mg and see how that is

Have you checked your throat? If its red and irritated then you could try what i do when im sick and take a smaller hit. I used to get strep a lot and i would take about half the vapor of a normal hit from my pv and just vape twice as long. It helped me with the pain. You might be getting too much. 2-3 second hit would be more like a 1-2 second.

When I first started vaping after a week I got a really bad sore throat and it persisted for about a week & a half. I was drinking so much water, vaping different ratios to 100% pg free. It didn't help, I had canker sores and my tongue actually peeled at one point. It eventually went away but that time was rough I cut down on vaping for two days and it didn't help so I just vaped threw it. Its been three + weeks and no sore throat or irritation. Give your body time to adjust from being off cigs. Hopefully it works out for you.

The blu disposables have a higher nic level than the "high" nic cartos. But your right its 100% pg free made by Johnson's creek.

Yes...I stand corrected on the nicotine content point. Just saw this on their website: "Nicotine Amount (Approximately): Classic Tobacco:20-24mg Magnificent Menthol: 17-24mg"
