Was it something I said?
So I popped the target off my new style 65mm battery and was amazed that there is wasted space there. Looks like this could really be a 60mm battery, right? Why's it there? Why should I not take a tubing cutter to it and sell the first BMF super duper mini at an outrageous price? Should I just use this secret space to hide tiny amounts of contraband? Since I'm a super secret government agent, I can hide all sorts of micro drive government secrets in there.

I believe that space is there for airflow. plus so the cap has a place to be inserted without disrupting the electronics.

leaford, since I'm in here (actually I dropped it and the cap popped off!), do you mind me asking a couple questions about the battery design?
1. Inside the cap, I see 3 wires, black, red and yellow. Looks like black is labeled negative and red labeled positive.
What's yellow?
2. IF I wanted to splice into those wires, can I charge the battery on the black and red wires with the battering acting like it normally does while charging? Lighting led, whatever smart things the battery does to know it's charged etc?
3. IF I can charge it like in #2, the battery would not be activated while charging unless triggered by the switch, right?
4. IF 2 and 3 are positive, while charging on those wires the battery would work like an automatic pt, right?
5. Where's the switch? (say, god forbid I had a dead battery and wanted to reuse the switch for a diy project)

Thanks!
(yes, I'm an incurable tinkerer and diy'er, no I wouldn't expect warranty coverage or official bloog encouragement to go tinkering)
