I've been vaping for a year now, and I just pulled apart 8 of my old cartomizers of various ages. 7 of them were burnt inside, meaning I haven't been filling them properly (keeping them wet). Just wanted to remind all the new users out there to keep their cartomizers/atomizers wet!

The ejuice is much better than cigarette smoke, but if you're burning other things, who knows?

Yes they need to be refilled often and are meant to be disposable after a certain period of use. Use as thin and clear a juice as possible and good batteries. Thanks for showing these pics for the newbies. I had mild success cleaning with Isopryl Alcohol and got a few more days worth out of some of them but what you have shown there are what happens when they get too dry and the person continues to vape. If the juice starts tasting bad or the carto gets too hot thats a sign too that filler burning is probably going on and the carto is spent.

Yeah after taking apart my 1st polly carto (things blackened/melted inside a little) that failed (later I took apart ones that worked fine and same thing) I went to CE2 Clearomizers so I could see what was going on..I also use regular CE2's now but I take them all apart and clean them like new. CE2's rubber cup that is near the coil melts a little also but nothing like polly carts...

Thanks for the tip! I'm new to all of this, so everything i read is new, useful information. This is my 2nd day with my eGo-T. I'm just filling the carto before i go to work and vape off and on all night. Should i be bringing some e-juice with me to add periodically throughout the night?

yeah I kind of think that to every time I pull one a part I just hope burnt carto material is better for me then cigarettes

It not really burnt it's just melted a little if that makes you feel better..I think ecigs are a lot safer still..you probably breathe in a lot more toxic stuff driving/riding behind other cars for a couple mins than get from a ecig in a year...
