I've been without analogs for a month today :)
We went to a big old shindig on Saturday, and I was sorta worried about relapsing. I knew there'd be plenty of opportunities to inhale pretty much a spectrum of plant based materials, and loaded up my blinged-out Grand with UBER strong juice for the occasion.

Well our REO's were the hit of the party- and I got a kick out of watching very experienced smokers cough through their first vapor puff (despite my warnings). Even better was when we all got a little tipsy and were struggling to light their cigs in the wind, bumming lights, dropping lit cigarettes in their laps, burning holes in their clothes, gumming up their rolling papers, bumping into each other on the dance floor, and other drunken debauchery.

Smoking's a fricken nighmare. Analogs still smell good to me, but I didn't have one craving the entire night, but I did have one heck of a hangover Sunday morning.

REO's work better, are more reliable, and more enjoyable. Never in a million years did I ever think I'd become a non-smoker. But here I sit, happily vaping.

NOW I need a retirement plan- I figured I'd be dead by 60 (like all of the other smokers in my family), so I never bothered. I met with a financial planner last week, and told him NO mutual funds with big tobacco stock, and showed him my REO. He was impressed.

Thanks Rob for making an amazing mod,and taking such good care of us!!!!!!!

Awesome post, SuziesMom!! Yeah, I never thought I would live long either- 30 years of 2 packs a day and I've been without for 6 months now. I have trimmed down, getting some needed surgery taken care of that I was just letting go, starting to work out, even colored my beard and mustache...feeling younger!! I can't believe it but I'm a non-smoker...Vaping and particularly the Reo has definitely changed my life too!

I've only been analog free for slightly over a month and a half but I was dreading my first drinking without cigs experience as the two went hand in hand. But I was surprised I didn't get any cravings, I actually went hours without vaping. Ironically the convenience the reo has provided me has actually made me vape less lately

Great post! I'm right there with ya...never planned for the future because I figured I'd never make it there. So happy for you!!! Watching smokers does make me feel sad though. I'm approached all the time about my REOs these days, but I see in many eyes that same skepticism I had burning through my eyes a year ago when vaping was not working for me and I figured it was just a silly fad.

Took me a few months to go out to a bar without thinking about the cigs. I don't even go to bars much these days because I can't take the smoke. I finally understand why people say "oh there...but it's so smokey" always thought they were just being big babies about it. Turns out it really is horrid.

And the smell...I swear, I go to the grocery and can smell a smoker from 20 feet. I really thought people were making it up

Completely understand this statement. Shortly after quitting analogs I was at a friends house that they smoke inside, after leaving I just wanted to shower immediately with how I and my clothes smelt. Honestly theres no way to hide that smell and I cant believe people think they do.

Great post SuziesMom! I had a recent revelation as well. Three weeks ago i bought a pack of Winstons. It had been 5 months with no smokes and I was content vaping. So why was i missing cigs? Romanticizing the ritual of burning tobacco blah, blah, blah. Anyway I light one up take a nice deep drag and..... nothing. Wait. What? So i smoke half of it and put it out. Now i have a bad taste in my mouth. The night goes by, I'm hittin the Reo the smokes are in the truck. Now I'm driving home. Think I'll try a cig again. Same thing. Nothing. I get home and toss 'em in the trash. It's amazing how liberating it is to know i can take or leave smoking. I actually prefer vaping given the choice. Crazy good, that is.

I am like the others After smoking for over thirty years I thought I would be gone by now Thanks to all the devices out there no matter which one gets you to quit the analogs Mine just happens to be the reo and ego. I never thought much about the smell of an analog till I went by someone the other day smoking. I never smelled something so horrible in my life. No wonder strangers gave me a wide berth when they went passed me while I was smoking. I feel sorry for the people I still see puffing I wish they would find out about pv's
