Water Seperator - Centerfuge

I had some spare time today. So I decided to see if I could get my Visions cleaner(less water left over after dry burn)than normal. I had an old salad spinner and converted it to a Vision Spinner.

It was as easy as cutting the wood planks, digging the grooves out to hold the Vision's, drilling two holes and bolting it together. It works and NO vibration. Two minute spins is all it takes.

If I may suggest instead of using water as your last rinse used pure grain alcohol instead, it will evaporate very quickly.

Cool idea. I do something a little simpler. I have a piece of surgical tubing, with a piece of string I put on one end, that a 808 to 510 female adaptor fits tightly into. I screw the 510 threads on the Vision into the adaptor, and Taryn spin the excess water out.

I may try that next time. Currently I soak in Everclear for a few minutes, and rinse with water.

Do you still have to dry burn after the alcohol rinsing? Do you let it soak some before final rinse or in my case spin? Less dry burns is better right?

I did notice the coils start to glow on the second pulse rather than the fourth or fifth.

this works seriously well on filtered dual coil cartos - for filling remember the condom on the end it will also fling all the water out after cleaning but i would still do batt end down just without the condom. i would be worried the filler might pull on the wires and such if spun open end out.
