Hi folks. I just received my new ultrasonic cleaner to try some speed steeping. I decided to clean some gear first; I had
a bunch of egoC atty's, evod/pt2 coils, and T2 coils backed up.
The atty's had been soaking in water and for the last 24 hours in plain vodka [40%].
Using water, I ran three or so 8 minute cycles, no real improvement based on the stained wicks.
So, I took apart all the ego atties and dry burned them, and returned the cans and wicks into the cleaner still seperated..
This time when I hit the button the wicks milked out of the ego atties like water, instantly. I turned the thing off, and ALL the atties had shed their wicks, now about an inch and a half long thread.
So another great idea that should never have been thought of, $40 worth of atties nuked. It didn't seem to bother the 1/2 dozen T2 coils that were with them; wicks were unchanged.
So Blah.
I hope it helps with steeping [juggies fan], I'm staring at a nice new order but the thrill is gone at the moment.
Hurray for backups. and Vanilla cigarillo in a mini pt2 [with a brand new coil!]
Anyone ever ran into this? The model is a cd-4820, I wanted a little larger unit so it would be more multi purpose around here.
Did I go too big? there were no ill effects when the atties were still together, but it also didn't clean the wicks or the coils.

Cheers
