*sigh*.
A LART simply because I’m sick of these.

Very few people care about waterproof and dustproof even on mods that are. What they care about is longevity and reliability, which usually means drop resistance. Waterproof helps a bit with that, but it’s the rubber armor on waterproof mods that is the big draw. People want stuff to work and put up with less than delicate treatment and resist damage. They want their money’s worth. Look at American wartime cigarette lighter ads from ww1 through to the the 50’s. They’re all about “it just works”. What is the most famous and successful advertising slogan of all time in the USA? “Takes a licking and keeps on ticking”.

People (any people) don’t want to mess around with stuff that randomly breaks or is so complicated to use that you have to waste time messing around with it.

This matters less on a pod because they have internal batteries and their lifespan is limited.

For some reason Chinese manufacturers think geekvape did it with water and dust resistance. They didn’t. They did it with “milspec rating”. They passed a test designed by a known organization that showed that their stuff didn’t break.
