For volts, i good rule of thumb is to do ohms+2 and then adjust from there. In terms of wattage, for the .5ohm coil it would be safe to go with 20-30 to start and again adjust based on your preference. I personally use a higher wattage. The higher the wattage the hotter the vapor will be. For the 1ohm coil you go lower wattage wise. But the big thing is its really all based upon preference. Many factors will affect what voltage/wattage you will end up at. e-liquid type, how much air flow, etc. all play a role in this. i hope this helps!

I'll be using the eGo One Mega tank (Joyetech) with their CLR coils. I don't rebuild them, but prefer the taste vs their CL heads.

From the Sweet Vapes website on the CLR heads:

Working wattage(0.5ohm): 20-35W
Working wattage(1.0ohm): 10-20W

That will be a good guide to start with. Start at the lower end and work up until you get the vape you like. If you taste burnt hits, back down a bit until it's gone. You should be fine in the ranges listed but as the coils get gunked the max power they will take without burning will go down.

These numbers are for CLR heads in the eGo One Mega tank only. Different tanks and different heads at the same resistances will behave differently.

had the very same issue since I'm pretty much new as well my 4th week in, this is what I basically do. although my box mod already regulates the ohms+2 anytime I put any coil in. so say I put in a 1.0 ohm coil it will automatically go to 3 volts I believe and wattage would be set up as well already and I simply just crank it up from their to what I like. more wattage/voltage I assume you'd want more air flow, higher VG content I assume you want more watts Pg based I assume you want less watts. too high of a wattage you will get that burnt flavor.

for a 0.5 coil which I'm currently using I have it set up to 22watts probably can go higher then that but that is where I like it to be for myself below 20 is a little too weak imo. for my 2.0 I was using 18 watts ( too high and you can literally taste the burnt flavor ) of course you have to play around with air flow and juice vescocity as well thinner juices I assume you want less wattage so it doesn't burn too much then start burning your cotton and that way you can restrict air flow for more flavor ( PG based juices are thinner ). VG based are thicker and i'd assume you can crank it up hotter but will need more air flow because juice is syrupy.

like what everyone will basically tell you; find your sweet spot everyone has different sweet spots when you get more experienced you will figure it out more easily took me 3 weeks just to figure how the hell to get better flavor and at one point I was vaping 0.4 coil at 12 wats and thought that was amazing lol.

looks nice how are those glass drip tips? was looking to buy one but the one at my local vape shop is like $24 I was like .....

Thanks! Well, it's more like plastic, lmao (good quality). Of course Joyetech says they're glass... I like them. Go to Joyetech US site and they're only $2.99 under accessories, it's the only drip tip they have. I actually ordered 3 with the mod I just got. I like them because they aren't too wide but also not too narrow.

ive found 27w @ .5 ohms is my sweet spot on fully charged batts. I more or less judge by volts and like to be around 3.9-4 and adjust wattage accordingly with different resistance.

So far I'm liking it around 23 (mod newbie), I'm sure later I'll kick it up. I have an eGo One Mega and it's pretty cool but I like that I can adjust things now.
