Rannox that was a huge help on the shortener. I tried alot of them and finally gave up. As far as the banner, very nice work. I wish you had chimed in a little sooner, since you do it professionally. It is totally up to Buzz which banners he wants. I'll put up this one and anyone with a little knowledge can change the banner and counter how they like.

How to add a Notcigs Banner Counter in your Signature

1)Go to the counter generator at:
http://mbtproj01.microbeef.com:7070/VSig/

2)Fill in your personal responses until you get to the IMAGE URL line and then cut and paste this url: http://goo.gl/Pch5M into the generator. Now continue filling in the form using the responses from below:

Analog mg tar/cig: (15mg is average )
Analog mg CO/cig: (Not used by me, leave blank)
Background image URL: http://goo.gl/Pch5M
Text x offset(pixels): 6
Text y offset(pixels): 15
Text color: CYAN
Font: BITSTREAM VERA SANS
Font size: 10
Text Style: BOLD

You can play around and change fonts and sizes and all that. This is simply a guide to make the counter look pretty good out of the box. More technical people can get creative and do a whole lot more if they desire.

Ok, hit "SUBMIT"and then Copy the URL that is generated in your browser.
Go to your ECF sig and paste the URL into the Signature area. Hit "PREVIEW" If it's not showing your completed banner in the preview pane then do this: change the HTML tags that wrap your banner URL to

.

Hit Save and you should be good to go.

Lol , thanks Virk. To get rid of the referring link in your banner, go into Signature edit and look at the image code you put in there. Somewhere in there is a URL that causes that. It's probably somewhere in the middle and wrapped with URL in brackets around each side of it.

I didn't like it. I didn't spend enough time on it so I trashed it.

Just be careful where you use it, read of the forum you are in. I was taken to the woodshed in another forum for "advertising" on their site for using mine there. Now I know how El Dee feels. .....J/K

If they are that insecure I would just quit gong on that site.
