I just got a 510 from Innovapor. Great folks. Highly recommended.

Started vaping 3 weeks ago or so with a SE Gold RN4081. Got juice (PG) from JC and Electronic Ash, some PG some VG and some Loranns. My bathroom looks like a Chem lab. Really like the Tenn Cured and RY4 in my SE.

The 510 ships with EcoPure (VG based). Very slight flavor (Rich), but rather pleasant. The thing is, I've tried my other juices (both carts and dripping) and find that I don't get much flavor. Certainly not like I was getting from my RN4081. Although I love the 510 with the EcoPure, I really want to like it with the flavors. Anyone else notice this? I can't imagine I'm screwing up how I do it (put two-three drops on the atomizer; vape away). Is this a break-in issue? I've been breaking in my atomizers with a PG/VG mix until the primer taste is gone, but after that I still don't get much flavor from the JC. Hints and Tricks appreciated

Agreed that 510 is the worst for flavor. It's horrible compared to a 901 atty. The ONLY reason I'm using the 510 is for out and about because there are no manual 901 batteries available at this point that work with my best e cig 901 generic attys. So I'm screwed on the 901 manuals, unless, of course, I wanted to pay double the price for a true 901 atty to use on them, but then of course, I'm having to buy 510 attys, so I suppose what's the difference. It just makes me really mad because I have the bulk amount of 901 attys and prefer to use them.

Are you saying that the generic 901 attys are not compatible with the manual 901s? I wasn't aware of that. These things are good to know!

Yup. The new 901 manuals only work with the true 901's and the 4075's, as those 2 factories share technology. The factory that makes the 901 battys does not share technology with Best E Cigs, which means it is up to Best E Cigs to be compatible with what Saliebo produces. So, yes, at this point, anyone that buys their attys in bulk from Best E Cig, they do not work with the new manual batteries. I would assume the same problem will happen with the 801's. This really sucks.

Adding to this post: The STRANGE thing is, even though it only lasted 5 days until the switch stuck, I was using a best e cig atty on the new manual passthroughs and it worked on them, but the threading was the same as the other auto battys. When I looked at the threading on the new manual battery itself, it is different. There is a wider gap between the theads that isn't there on the autos. Interesting.....huh.

Thanks for the clarification.

Keeping all these things straight can be a nightmare all on it's own.

Yeah, the safety of the sealed batteries is one of the reasons that I went with the 501... didn't know I'd be sacrificing flavor though. ah well, live and learn.

Maybe you could try to sell some of your generic 901 attys and it wouldn't feel so bad getting the 901/4075 attys for the manual 901 battery? Afterall, like you said, you are buying the 501 attys (and they are oftentimes higher than the 901 attys).

All the best to you.

Edit to add:

THAT is very strange!

I have over 100 best e cig attys and I LOVE them. They last way longer and better over the 4075s and 901s IMO. I am not able to buy the others in bulk at the prices I am able to buy the best e cig ones for. Plus I like them MUCH better. I had no luck with 4075s and crappy luck with true 901's. So, like you that's why I'm just plugging along on a little 510 right now, but the flavor...........pffffffffft sucks. I don't like the 510 atty enough to buy a bunch of them either. I will just buy a few as I go here and there to stay afloat, but I'm not stocking up on them.

Well, you know, there's this other possibility for you that I just now thought of. Perhaps before long the generic maker will come out with a manual battery that will work with their attys... that'd be great, wouldn't it!?

I haven't done much stocking up yet. Plan to in the very near future though.

I had really bad luck with the 510 attys... hopefully that is over now. For the past couple weeks I have been having them last over a week. Had some only last 3 days. None made it to 7 days. Can't do much stocking up when having to replace them at that rate... especially after the initial start up costs. So much for the cheaper than analog rave!

As for the 510's flavor, I've been thinking about getting some liquidxpress flavorings to bump the flavor of the juice and see if that helps. When I do I'll let you know if it helps or not. Should be getting the flavoring sometime after the 15th.

The less additives in your juice are better for the atomizer, some flavoring clogs the atomizer, and PG is lighter than VG, more vapor, and flavor with PG.

The 510 burns alot hotter and tends to lose flavor. I did however just recieve a shipment of 5 different tobacco flavors and they were very tasty with my 510 from a US based company Luxvapor. I also have some of the JC juice at home and find some of their stronger flavors retain flavor. One other company "Eastmall.net" has a ton of different flavors and most of them retain flavor with the 510. I hope this helps you make the most out of the 510.

I also am new to vaping and have a 510. My first priority for vaping enjoyment is also flavor. I am interested to hear that you say the flavor is much better from a 901. Would anyone have any suggestions for a good place to buy one, and the least expensive? Only reason why is I have only been vaping for roughly 3 weeks and I have already spent over 700! Some suggestions would be much appreciated. I tried searching and they could not find any posts with 901.

I have several of the more quality juices, including Totally Wicked, and my opinion is the flavor sucks all the way around on the 510's no matter what you use in them. I haven't gotten anything to taste even remotely close as to how it tastes in a 901. The first 2 attys that came with the kit were both duds, couldn't get them to vape well at all. Was sent a 3rd atty to try and it has been working just fine. Getting the first 2 replaced. I don't HATE the 510, but I'm not happy with the flavor. Yes, the vapor is fine and good. I still think the 901 manuals will have it all over the 510's once they come out and are sealed.

I wouldn't have known about the flavor difference other than from what I have read, but I use the pass thru 901 right here with my computer and also the 510 till it gets too hot. Noticeable taste difference in the very same juices, and the vapor production isn't that much different between the two models.

I too am not unhappy with the 510. Each model has their pluses. Besides, it was my first ecig, and is therefore my first love. The 901 doesn't have a PCC and I really see the benefit of those.

Though, I will be trying the 901 manual battery model before I begin my "stocking up" plan to decide which to stock up on. Who knows, I may stock up on both for different reasons.

I also have had totally wicked's juice, johnson creek, and others. Always more flavorful in the 901.
