weird carto tank issue

Hi All,
So I am using my usual f16 with a boge carto. Never have issues like this, until this carto.

The carto will seem to dry out, I can't dry hit it and get any bubbles. But if I blow out through the cart, it then soaks up the liquid and i get some bubbles.

Anyone seen this before and/or know what the fix might be?

Probably just a bad carto. Happens to me every once in a while. I would start over with a new carto and it should fix the problem. The one you are using sounds like it has wicking problems.

Every once in a while, I'll get a weak carto. Has sumpin' to do with the wicking.

Some cartos are just DOA toss in garbage .. Curse at it .. Start over

Dont throw it away!!! You can clean cartos pretty easily by boiling them in distilled water and letting them dry for 24-48 hours before reuse.

I usually boil my old cartos twice, changing the water each time.Sometimes this can give a new life to a badly performing carto.

I tried poking the punched holes with a needle..
Seemed to make a little bit of a difference.

I was going to say that. I've had cartos that just did not wick in the juice... poking a needle or pin repeatedly into the wicking seems to loosen it up enough to work better.
