Weird issue with Halo prefilled cartomizers

I recently ordered 2 packs of prefilled cartos from Halo (Tribeca and Menthol Ice) and 1 carto from each pack has a weird buttery taste with almost no hint of the actual flavor. All of the other cartos in the packs taste fine.

Customer Support told me to "Please try recommend removing the rubber stopper from cartomizer and using a pointy object such as a tweezer to gently move around the white polyfil inside. This will allow the liquid to disperse throughout the rest of the cartmizer. "
and I've even tried adding more juice but still getting the weird buttery flavor.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and know what causes it or how to fix it?

I have never had good luck with pre-filled carto's. It's hard to gauge how old they are, what temperature, or pressure extremes they've been through on their way to your door; and it's anyone's guess as to how they were originally filled.

What I would suggest is doing as they recommended by removing the rubber stopper and slowly adding liquid a drop at a time to allow the filler to soak up the liquid until it's evenly saturated. Then replace the cap, and gently flick it (like extinguishing a match) to spread the liquid around. In the future, i would suggest just buying blank cartos and filling them yourself.
