I bought a 5 pack of smok Tech Dual coil cartomizers and when I opened the package the threading on the end was female. The threading did not match a 510 or any normal threading. It had an odd design that was to receive threading. Something needs to be screwed into it? I am not sure if this is a mistake or what? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Picture of what i received - http://i50.tinypic.com/23jobnp.png

If it helps this is what i bought: http://www.surevapes.com/eGo-Mega-Dual-Coil-Cartomizer-15ohm-5-Pack_p_107.htmlw

EDIT: Also I have a 510 to 808 adapter and the center peice blocks the connector from screwing in.

Based on the link you provided you bought eGo MEGA cartomizers. The photo backs it up. It is standard 510 threading, but these are designed to fit directly onto an eGo battery and eliminate the need for a cone (cover) at the same time. To use them on any other type of PV besides an eGo you will need a long 510 to 510 extender or an eGo adapter.

Yes I did buy the mega because I have an ego 1100 mah battery and ego c twist. I have had an ego specific tank before and know what the inner rungs look like that match up. When I first saw it I thought that was what it was also and so thought that the outer threading ring would sync up. The ego connector rings are too wide to match up, those inner rings are the diameter of an 808 but an 808 doesn't fit

If it has female threads its not standard 510, its an ego thread and should fit the threads the same spot a cone goes. It might have the 510 threads inside.. I haven't used em myself for this reason.

It's odd I can see with no size reference how you would think that that is the adapter size that the ego has but it is not... this is very weird I ordered an order before this and it fit on the ego perfectly as I would expect. These are just something I have never seen where the adapter is too small to connect to the ego, the 510 screw of the ego doesnt fit in, and my 510 to 808 adapter doesnt fit...

that is not an ego connection. ego connection would fit on the outer skirt threads where the typical cone would go.

Correct it is not an ego, it is also not a 510 or an 808 these things are of zero use to me right now and no one seems to have any idea what it could be was this a manufacturing problem?

There is the possibility that the vendor sent you an "other" by mistake. SmokTech makes a version similar to this that fits the E-Power setup. E-Power has larger cone threading than an eGo but the center connector would still be 510.

Ok, having revisited your photo of this thing... no idea. It appears to have no eGo threading at all. And the dual threading - what looks to be a badly botched 510 connector and "other" surrounding it - makes no sense at all. Any jumping to conclusions by us was based on the URL provided and the omission of info that you knew you were buying for an eGo setup. These should be eGo style cartomizers. If they are a manufacturing defect - could be. If they are some type of proprietary setup - never heard of SmokTech making these for other than eGo or E-Power but anything is possible. Regardless, they aren't what you ordered so why not just contact the vendor and get an exchange going?
