I use rayon for all my wicks, I've never had an off taste unless I get funky junk juice, I use to get dry hits but that was cause I used way to much wick stuffed inside the coil.

Maybe it's just your taste buds, I'd try Karen's recommendation of drinking something in between vapes and see if that helps

I thought I had vapers tongue. But drinking water or switching to dripping other juices also still gives me the same off taste in the squonker. Also, I had my rose v2 with the same ejuice to compare. Doesn't have the off taste.

The thing about ultrasonic cleaning is that you are bathing the atty/mod in what you are trying to get rid of, which is of coarse pointless. They are great for removing foreign materials but useless for removing oils/tastes/smells and actually makes it worse

If you for instance clean your bf atty and/or tubes, bottles, etc. with your reo, you are contaminating your atty, etc. with noalox which is very nasty.

I wash my atomizers separately from my mods. I don't have an ultrasonic cleaner, I just use a toothbrush and dap a bit of dawn dish detergent on the brush and rinse everything under hot water in the kitchen sink. Then I'll give every inch of the atty and mod a good scrubbing. Then I'll rinse all the soap off and blow dry everything with my air compressor.

Again the only time the tube imparts a flavor is when the tube has been exposed to a very strong juice like cinnamon or Pluid for a while . But in those cases there is also a smell to go with it. Give everything, Reo and RBA a good bath with Dawn and a rinse. Pull all o rings before the bath. Run PGA through the tube. Post pics of your coil and wick.

I get an off metalic flavor almost when I have a hot leg issue. I finally figured out what was happening by doing the following:
- Vape the wick almost dry
- Go into a dark room and let 'er rip
- Look for one of the legs getting red hot or glowing at all

You will need to replace your wick after doing this. I've found I needed the wick in there to actually catch the hot leg. If I removed the wick (which I did a bunch of times), it wasn't as clear and I missed it.

Worth a shot...

Okay I have tried and tested by eliminating these possibilities:

1. Cleaned atty and catch cup. Same build, ohms etc. Dripped onto and vaped. No funky taste. So this rules out any residue in the atty or improper build. I have been rebuilding almost 2 years now, so I doubt its that.

2. Squirt juice through the catch cup metal feed pin using a syringe to test the catch cup. No funky taste.

3. Cleaned plastic bottle and silicone tubing. Filled with fresh juice and squonked. First squonk and vape abit, no funky taste. 2nd squonk, I get a hint of that same funky taste/smell. 3rd onwards, thats where is back to having the taste.

Okay my conclusion:

1. Silicone tube gives an off smell when chain vaping and the feed pin at the catch cup gets warm. Not sure if this is remotely possible as I touched the feed pin after chain vaping and it doesnt feel hot hot like on a small atty when it gets during chain vaping. So not really convinced.

2. Plastic bottle and the silicone tube doesnt react well with my ejuice. Although in my experience it hasn't been the case. Smell of the bottle also doesn't give off any funky smell with ejuice inside.

3. Im leaning towards this one. I noticed the silicone tube, when I inhale, some excess juice in the silicone is being sucked towards the catch cup. As I remove the driptip from my mouth, releasing the pressure, the juice flows back down the tube. Now its not like ejuice is being sucked into the atty when I inhale, but more like excess vapor is being sucked back into the silicone tube. Any probable explanation that this hot vapor in the silicone tube will cause reaction and thus give out a plasticky smell the next inhale i take?

Not sure if any of this mean any sense but appreciate the responses so far. I figured this is the best place to ask.

sounding more and more like cooked juice to me. there should be at no point that juice is entering or leaving your atty while inhaling. this means you are creating a vacuum, you do not have enough airflow through the atty. you are drawing juice in while the atty is fired, it cooks the juice, and flows back down. just because it seems like it isn't going into the atty, trust me it is if any juice is moving at all while in operation.

the tubing is damn near an inert material and hardly reacts with anything. I highly doubt it has anything to do with the tube. the bottle would react well before the tube would
