I've looked on the site but nowhere do they say they make in the UK.

Thanks flyby, it does only say assembled. However, intellicig are a genuine company who have invested a lot into research and sourcing better components, as the Chinese standard stuff that so many people are punting out without testing or even removing from the packaging has a 35% failure rate. intellicig test every single unit and fully charge the batteries before despatch. You would be amazed at how many failures there are on new units, either the vapouriser remains on too long or too little. intellicig have concluded negotiations with an alternate supplier for batteries & microelectronics and a better range of cartridges that give the same back-of-the-throat hit as dirty old fags. The MD at intellicig was a 40 a day man but is now down to 3 a day with the help of the e-cig. It's not always just about faceless corporations or unscrupulous individuals out to screw a quick profit, there are some folk who still believe in customer service and value for money, you've just got to take the blinkers off to find 'em.
Any fool can criticise, condemn & complain and most do.

John, a smoker since I was 12 with no desire to quit, but with a growing tendency toward the e-cig.

Hi!

I'm new to E-Cigarettes and bought my starter kit and cartridges from Intellicig. The unit seems to work well and the customer service was good. My only problem is regarding the cartridges.

They state at the site that they are honest about how long their cartridges last - equivalent to 5/6 cigarettes. Unfortunately, I'm finding each cartridge is lasting only 3/4 at best. After reading at this forum I'm beginning to believe this is very poor.

Other than the above problem I have no complaints but I'm sorely tempted to try adding eliquid to the dried out cartridges even though Intellicig say not to.

I'd appreciate the thoughts of other members on this.

Thanks

I don't see why you couldn't use e-liquid cymrulady, you are only putting in the same as what was already in the cartridges, that is unless they have some magic forumula only their ecig works with :) I think this would probably have more to do with them wanting to sell you more cartridges rather than causing any damage? if you don't use e-liquid it is going to be quite expensive!

I think Betty is right, it will be expensive to replace cartridges and that's possibly how the company hope to increase revenue. I don't see anything on their site that says your 30 day warranty is void if you refill. That would be something to consider if it says that in the manual. If the warranty is not an issue I think you should go for it and refill.

Welcome to the forum.

Intellicig have advised against topping up with liquid as they have been testing liquids from various sources for quality and compatibility.
Intellicig will be launching their own liquids very soon so that you will be able to top up your cartridges. The liquids will come in nice 10ml dropper bottles under the Intellicig brand. Intellicig are committed to providing a good service with products that satisfy. E-cigs are still relatively new and there are bound to be some problems, Intellicig are trying to solve those problems before they release products to the customer as they are in business for the long term. I have been using an intellicig for just over 1 week and have cut down from 20-25 roll ups a day to just 3-4. I now go for a full day at work without a 'real' ... and yesterday jogged up a flight of steps without needing a defib machine and oxygen - I have smoked for over 40 years and can feel the difference to my respiratory system. I'm not saying that other e-cigs wouldn't work for me but they are here to stay I'm sure. Smokers who have been cast out from pubs, clubs, workplaces and all of the other venues where the ban is in place can now enjoy a 'smoke' in peace, with the added benefit that their health might actually benefit compared to smoking firesticks!
How do I know so much about Intellicig? Well, I'll be honest as always, I started working for them last week and am loving every busy minute of it! I read on this forum (I think) about a customer who was complimenting Intellicig's customer service in solving a problem with her vapouriser; that's part of my job, looking after fellow smokers. If you need any more info on Intellicig, please email me via john at intellicig.com or through the website.
We sell to customers directly and to Traders. If you are looking to buy in bulk to save money use the Trade link on the site or give me a call.

Best wishes & smoke free! :thumb:

I bought an intellicig and use it along side a 901 and have no complaints.
I think the atomiser is pretty good for vapour. The carts dont last long, but it is a supermini and for my use, I think 5 or 6 cig equivalent is 'about' right.

If Intellicig are in this for the long run and intend on selling their own e-juice then a tox report would be a positive start.

I'm very happy with Intellicig.:D All my experience with them has been positive - great customer service, and no matter what the order size just 99p 1st Class postage. And no - I don't work for them - I'm just a very happy customer. Their cartridges taste great, too. Just my two penn'orth.

Will Intellicig be publishing toxicology reports for the juice you say they are commissioning?

The ingredients are basically the same as are already published in the public domain. It seems a strange question though as I have never in my 40 years of smoking seen or heard anyone asking for a toxicology report when buying a packet of fags. We're not being evasive but we also have to allow time for thorough testing to be done. What most suppliers will tell you is that we feel it is a safer alternative to cigarettes, but the decision which to use is your own.
Cheers.
John.

Thanks expipeman, we aim to please. The customer comments on our website are all from real people and not dreamed up by us and there is an expipeman who has placed a recent comment about how he has given up after many years.

yes, but with cigarettes we know we are getting a harmful product.

With eliquid we HOPE we are getting a relatively harmless product, but to trust the assurances of sellers is totally misplaced and misguided when the liquid comes from China is unregulated and has had contamination issues and those sellers do not test it and disclose the results of those tests.

Hopefully the informed consumer will make their choice based on those who put their money were there mouth is and employ pro-active measures to safeguard not only the quality of the e liquid they sell but the safety of the public at large.

It might be proven to be a safer alternative to cigarettes, IF what is listed as the liquid ingredients is what is in there, as we have seen, without testing and disclosure we have no real idea what is in there.

Responsible sellers wouldn't even be arguing about this point.
