Hey Everyone :2cool:
My name is Chris and I have been smoking analogs for about 25 years until just 3 days ago. My husband had a heart attack on New Years Eve 2 years ago and I immediately threw down my pack my for 4 months. When released from the hospital, he was good for about 2 weeks but, then started sneaking them everywhere thinking I couldn't smell them. No amount of candles or bathroom fans can hide that smell and I finally "outed" him. 4 mos. later, we had an ugly situation arise and the first thing I did was grab his smokes.

I work as an Asst. House Manager for a Mental Health Facility and within the past 3 weeks, I have had 3 clients put on oxygen and CPAP machines, one who had a lung and a half removed. It has been very devastating to me as the only reason I work in this part of the field is because people are young and are not supposed to die.

I had kicked the idea around before about checking into the whole "VAPE" thing. God put 2 people in my path within the last month who have been doing it for over a year and neither have looked back at the Cancer sticks. Curiosity got the best of me the other day when I walked in to my neighborhood shop.
I now have a Rainbow Vision Spinner, Purple Clearomizer, a clear tip, cute charms, and some awesome 60/40 ADV juice. I tried to smoke a cigarette last night for the hell of it and the tast was like burnt bleach. After 2 hits, I crushed it and pitched the pack.
My husband who is against all of this, is now "slowly" coming around and curious! I can not wait!!!! to take him to my shop!
We are getting ready to travel to Vegas in 3 weeks and I am so looking forward to traveling with my Vape and seeing what they might have to offer out there.
Look forward to all the information, education, and stories from all of you!
Have a great day and Happy vaping!
Chris~

Welcome! It's always nice to see people come over from the dark side. I smoked for over 20 years. The day I tried vaping they were history. I love vaping. It's much better than smoking in many ways. For one, there are so many delicious flavors!

Good luck on your new adventure. It's a life changer! :vapor:

Welcome Chris - it is great to have you.

Your description of the taste of cigarettes (burnt bleach!!!) that is how they can taste to me too - exactly! LOL

You should hit the heath section & read what the e-liquid ingredients are used in. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

And since you picked pretty stuff, check out http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...show-us-your-girly-pretty-decorated-pink.html
If you can post us a picture, we would love a chance to ooh & ahh over it. ;)

There a lot of vape shop in Vegas - maybe some one will post you some links.

Glad you're here.

Hi, Chris! Welcome to the vaping world! I’m also new to it, but I am loving my vaping experience. I can honestly say for the first time in my adult life that I don’t think I will ever go back to cigarettes. It took my husband about a week of me vaping before he was begging for a set up of his own. Hope your experience continues to go well!

Welcome Chris! And congratulations on kicking the analog habit and saving your life!

I smoked a pack a day for 20 years - other than during my pregnancies because for me that was the ONLY motivation strong enough for me to quit but I always started again. :(. The day I decided to take the plunge was the last day I ever smoked a cigarette. I tell every smoker I know that will listen how much BETTER vaping is than smoking. And I would have never believed it until I tried it. ;)

My husband was never a smoker. But he now Vapes 0 nic juice because he LOVES it. Lol. We aren't saving any money because now we are paying for two habits. ;). But I'll GLADLY do that to live long enough to someday know my grandchildren and - God willing - great grandchildren. :)

WELCOME!!!!

Welcome Chris! I started vaping 11 days ago and haven't looked back. I love your description of "burnt bleach", I tried to smoke a cig. and it tasted like nothing I've ever tasted before, I think burnt bleach is a good description of what it tasted like! I too am trying to get my hubby to vape instead of smoke. I've got him set up and gave him some of my juice but it's not strong enough for him so I've got some stronger on order. I'm really hoping he'll be able to quit!

Anyway, congrats on quitting, and hopefully soon both of our hubby's will be vapors instead of smokers!

Welcome and LOL on the shopping! I smoked 1 1/2 to 2 packs every day. I'm a big time slow learner, it took me almost fifty years of smoking to make the switch. The biggest change for me is I had an awful cough. It was gone in the first week! I feel so much better-and love all the flavors available. My hub is still smoking and so far thinks - as he has often in our marriage - that his wife is a little weird. I do not have a girly setup, I tend to like the stainless steel look.(If you squint and have a good imagination, it can look like sterling silver:) ) The only thing that so far impresses him is the monetary savings. My old habit costs were about $12 a day. Now it's unusual for me to spend more than $30 a week and while I do splurge from time to time at the end of the month he has spent far more than I on his analogs. It took me five years to convince him computers were not evil and now he happily uses a tablet so I have high hopes to convert him on this, too.

Welcome Chris! Today is my 7th day without analogs{cigs} and I am thrilled! My husband actually barely smoked at all yesterday and is talking about quitting also. I have not yet peaked his interest in vaping, but I am trying. I can't believe how easy it was once I figured out how to make this pleasurable{better equipment}
Glad you joined us and thanks for sharing your story.:)
