My last machine

Dual 4890 1Gb cards Oced to 1Ghz
AMD 955
DDR 3 2Ghz(would not run that fast on the amd rig
on the GD70

Machine before that was an Intel Qx9650/790i Ultra/with 3 9800GTX cards.

I just can't make up my mind on what to build. I'm thinking about going a little lower end this time. Right now it's a toss over the Intel i5 750, and or going with a lower end AMD Dual Core Chip on a 790Fx board. Both would be cooled sub-zero with my phase around -30c so I know that I would have a good clock going on with either CPU. Also thinking about going with the new unreleased ATi 5k cards.....

Does that liquid cooling really run on everclear. My god man.8-o. Hang the mother board on the wall with a nail, and start it with a paper clip. Reminds of of the good old days.

Normally it runs on distilled water with a touch of ati-freeze. New motherboards(high end ones) come with a on off button on the motherboard.

The EverClear is used when benching with Dry Ice :p

I still have not made up my mind on what I want to build this round.

That water loop was ran with Wine as a test:D It actually worked really well....

Not bad,, well except the ati cards8-o

My last rig was koolance watercooled, I still need to get blocks for my newest set up.

Phase cooling is brave, not something I would ever do.

I have a asus m4a79 deluxe, and it is no where close to as good as msi mobos. I can not get this thing to oc at all stable.

All in all nice rig you has. I bet I still pwn you in cod4......:p

I sold the ATi cards, and I'm waiting for the new ATi cards to be released. Phase cooling is safe as long as you take the time to insulate it all. I love phase cooling lol you get a killer clock 24/7 with it.

I'm really leaning on going with the i5 with an Asus board this round. I had the m4a79 deluxe, and it was a really nice board. MSi fails in features over ASUS......

You see my ASUS 790i Ultra 775 WHITE motherboard:p

my good sir, that is not a computer that is something that might gain sentience in the middle of the night and kill us all.

and just wait maybe in a few years well be able to have and effective Liquid Nitro cooling system, oh and if you wring out the juice from a yellow highlighter and add that to your water it looks amazing in BLacklight

It's easier just to buy UV tubing or UV dye to add into the liquid. I can already cool with LN2 lol, but there really is no way to run your computer on it 100% of the time. It's just to cold, and after a while your board would freeze locking up the machine until it unfroze.

My phase reads -70 but it's really around -30, and at that temp it will not freeze the whole machine under the CPU load.

To all that does not know a phase is more or less an A/C unit. Instead of having the cooling radiator for the fans to blow cool air; it's ran into a central spot to get really cold. You still have the dumping heat radiator as an A/C has. So the PC room always stays warm because of it lol....
