i made an account on here a while back and never decided to post. seeming as i have to start here in the newbie section i might as-well talk about my vaping history. i started out with the magma kit from volcano and was really enjoying it. i stepped up from the magma with there ego style mod, the inferno. i moved on up to the BB from altsmoke and that is what i currently use daily. im big on tobacco, soda and pineapple juices. dont really drink soda.. i guess thats why i like the ejuice lol. im considering a 5v box mod from mad vapes and i came here for some insight on box mods. well thats about it. happy vaping:)

Glad you are here Eyy, If you are going to building the 5v kit why have you bypassed the adjustable one like this one that they sell Variable Volt Box Mod Kit ? Its only a few additional parts plus tha benefits of vv may very well be worth the extra couple of dollars & time to construct. I would highly recommend any form of adjustability especially if you are going to be the one putting it all togother. In any respect I hope you find your next favorite PV. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

LR carto on 5v?? Perhaps you are thinking of 1.5ohm DUAL coils which are actually 2 standard resistance 3 ohm coils (3 ohms is hot and LR on 5v).

I just got one of Madvapes 901/808 3.7v box mods - got tired of using an adapter to put my KR8 cartos on my 3.7v 510-threaded devices. It seems to be pretty well made.

You might want to check Super T Manufacturing for the red AW IMR batteries (safe chemistry and they hold the voltage up better in exchange for having a bit less mah charge). I just bought a couple more there.

However, their positive end button/nipple is pretty low and in a plastic box mod you may need a rare earth magnet on the tip (because the plastic box mods often have some raised plastic covering on end of the positive battery contact so you need to make the battery nipple a bit longer to contact). I use one of these on the nipple of each AW IMR in a plastic box mod:

(same shop also sells some AW IMRs and chargers)
