After 6 months of no analogs, I had to buy a pack. I was moving me and my fiancee into our first apt together and my lil kit that had my extra batts and juice disappeared. So 2 batteries and 2 bottles of juice and a few cartos are now gone :( Had one of my 650 mah ego t batteries that I'd loaned to my mom's boyfriend. I went back to my Mom's house to get it back only to find out he'd used the usb laptop charger and left it in his laptop overnight and had killed it. So now I've got just 1 900 mah ego battery left. Luckily I had some extra juices and cartos, so I'm still vaping. But until I was able to get all my stuff together, I had to go buy a pack of smokes to tide me over until then. That and some horrible things happened which drove me back to smoking temporarily. My truck is pretty much dead now. Tried to use it to move our stuff in a tow-behind covered uhaul trailer. Now my truck barely drives. On top of that, I had a transaction at an ATM that went sour that came back to bite me in the ..... An ATM at Target gave me an error after I told it I wanted $180 (for my pet deposit for this apartment). It gave me an error, no money, but went ahead and took it out of my account. My bank gave me the benefit of the doubt and gave me $180 and filed a complaint with the ATM company. I guess my complaint was turned down because when I was down to $150 in my account after moving costs, they took the $180 back, driving my account into the negative. I guess I just have to give up the $180 and be done with it. Who cares that $180 is almost a whole weekly paycheck for me. I guess the guy who refills the ATMs just got a nice little bonus. So yeah, needless to say, I needed something my ego couldn't give me. I'm back to vaping now though, just trying to ignore my problems. At least I have a motorcycle. I can ride it since my truck is dead. I could be completely without a vehicle. I still have 1 900 mah battery and enough stuff to vape still. I could be completely without. I'll just need to ignore that I can't afford any more batteries due to my lack of funds, much less another car.......ugh.....

Sounds like a bad country song

Sorry to hear bout your troubles Mike-
the summertime hasn't been kind to my car either...been dumping antifreeze in it, thought i had the radiator issues solved...then sprang an oil leak...
so i know all bout the automobile blues.
If i had some spare bats, i would send em your way man

hope things pick up =/

Thanks, but I'm ok, I'll save the emergencies for those who can't vape as I can for now. If this battery I have left dies on me, then I'll consider it an emergency and head over there. Thanks for the info though. As WalksWithWiFi mentioned, I'm just singing my bad country song :( My truck is leaking oil too, ex-wife took it to walmart too many times to have the oil changed while I was overseas with the military and they stripped my drain plug. Course, that's the least of my worries since I can't drive it now....

How's those cigarettes taste after 6 months without?

That actually surprised me. Previously when I hopped off the bandwagon, I could go back to smoking with the analogs tasting fine after the first couple. But this time, that first one about knocked me on my ..... I could feel it all over my body, in my legs, hands, feet, arms, hair...everywhere lol. But every one of them, from the first one to the last, tasted like I was licking an ashtray. Was more than willing to give them up and actually tried to rush through the pack to be rid of them once this lonely battery charged up. So maybe that means I'm finally and truely an ex-smoker. While I didn't cough up a lung at all (even smoking my old go-tos, camel menthol full flavors with the flavor burst thingy inside the filter), I seriously didn't care for the taste at all. I'm actually very glad of that :)

I couldn't go back now. It was a horrible backup plan for my dead e-cig that worked temporarily, but that's all it was. Once my e-cig was charged and I found my backup juices, I was back on the bandwagon and glad for it. I'm surprised your buddy stayed with them for that long THEDert. It was not a very good experience for me at all.

Here's a suggestion to keep you from having to go to analogs. I'm a DIYer and I found if you have juice that you dont like laying around it will come in handy when you are out of your good stuff.. and, Never throw ANYTHING away, batteries, old cartos atty's, and invest in a passthrough or two, ( Not the kind that plugs into your computer the kind with the wall adapter) Stock up on Nicotine juice too.. a bottle of 60 mg size of 60 ml is only 11 bucks with shipping at void mist when they have a sale. You can dry burn/clean old atty's and cartos to help them come back to life for a while. All this can really help get you by when your out of your stuff.

Another suggestion is to find out why you are getting paid so little. Even if you were on the lowest end of the payscale for the lowest branch of armed services (E2), you should be making an annual salary of approx $17,638. This would translate down to $339 per week before taxes, which iirc would only drop you down to approx $260 per week.

Assuming you picked your username based on being already in the military, and the date you picked your username was in May of 2009, I can assume you've been in the military for at least 2 years. 84% of enlisted persons make E4 by year 2, so I'm going to assume that you've probably made E4, which makes an annual salary of approx $24,937, which would come out to approx $479 per week before taxes.

I know enlisted military do not make much money, but it sure sounds like you need to talk to a superior and find out why you are getting the shaft.

Hey there GIMike, If you are interested in 2 650mah ego batteries just send me a PM with an address to send them to. They work very well for me but I only use them on occasion to test out liquids with a drip atty. and I have other PV's that I can do that with so if you would like them just shoot me a PM with an address to send them to and they are all yours okay. I will actually send you the whole shibang, they are the emerald green ones and I have two matching Tank atties that go with them and some tanks. It sounds like you already have a charger cord so I gotta hand on to that for my Wife's batteries. But the rest of the kit is all yours if you want it.

Sincerely;

Darrigaaz - I'm prior service, was in for 7 1/2 years. It was a username I started using back then and it kinda stuck with me. I know where my problem is. Something a lot of fathers may experience at some point. Child support. I make $13/hour, but with my ex-wife getting almost 50% of my income, I only get around $200/week after taxes. It pays her rent so she can use her $30/hour to get whatever else the kids need.

Devonmoonshire - Thanks, but this thread was just for venting and seeing maybe if others have tried cigs after months of vaping and found out they happily didn't like the taste of them anymore. Y'all are all being very helpful, and I'm glad to be part of such a community as this. I think I'll be ok until I get back on track. If this last battery fails, you may see me over in the emergency needs forum. Thanks again though.

Well From One Service Member to another my Friend, just keep the offer in mind should you ever have the need. I will probably be vaping until the end of my days. So I will always have something I can pass on should the need arise. I understand completely the need to vent sometimes.

I did however try one puff off of one cigarette about two weeks after I had started vaping and knew instantly that I was off of analogs forever, I immediately turned green and hurled in the trash can in the smoke pit. LOL So that is when I knew for a fact that I may never stop vaping, but I will certainly never ever go back to analogs.

Sorry for your 'lovely' moving experience..

Something I've heard/read but not seen (yet) - Some truck stops seem to be a place for emergency (instant gratification) e-ciggy stuff... something I'll try to remember if the need ever comes up (again ).

Thanks, I'm sure a lot of us have had a horrible move at some point in our past. Would have been smarter to have taken a downstairs apartment, but hey, I'm young enough to walk up the stairs, so maybe I helped out somebody who wasn't by doing so. Just SUCKED moving into it. Never have I passed a couch from one balcony to another cause it wouldn't fit through the front door, but would fit through the sliding doors on the balcony.

I think I would rather smoke a pack of cheaper cigs than get a no-name truck stop e-cig. Nothing against vaping, but I know the analogs will light up and burn. Can't get that kinda guarantee out of a cheap e-cig. That's why it was back and forth between analogs and my dse-801. Analogs were much easier to deal with than that system. Once I found the ego, it was obvious technology had changed. I'm afraid gas stations and truck stops are still using that antiquated technology. So, sadly, it seemed to me like a pack of smokes was a better choice than a disposable e-cig.
