OK - the first thing that came to my mind is "Heck! A hot pepper stick of liquorice will do that!"

I suspect there will be new words in the English language soon because "ludicrous" "hypocritical" "incompetent" "lying cheating thieving immoral scumbags" just don't seem to even skim the surface any more.

...the judge determining that any e-cigarette product that involves ''a hand to mouth action'' and results in the ''expulsion of vapour'' does in fact resemble a tobacco product.

Someone in this thread called it right. Harm reduction and appropriate regulation to monitor the usage of e-cigs is the common sense, intelligent approach by governments. To attempt to ban e-cigs is like cutting off the whole leg when a toe has gangrene. It reeks of anti-smoking lobbying taking their absolute loathing of tobacco and intolerance for people who choose to smoke into the field of vaping where big money and established markets have not yet had a chance to crystallise.

In an ideal world everyone who currently smokes will eventually give up cigarettes, which therefore makes e-cigs an obstacle to quitting smoking altogether for its attractive harm reduced aspects. But we don't live in an ideal world and yet those responsible for making legislation do use this notion of e-cigs preventing the masses from quitting nicotine delivery altogether guide their convictions to ban them.

In the practical world, a large proportion of smokers will never quit smoking and many will die of smoking related illness, deaths that would have been prevented if they had the option and free will to take up e-cigs as a compromise to stop smoking.

I am really close to calling those responsible for the move to ban e-cigs murderers. They just don't know that they are murderers. They are going to murder by ignorance.

I'm taking the same approach to nicotine that I take with other drugs some legal some not. I'll decide what I'll put into my system and how; not my government or the EU.

A well known {OTHER STUFF} we all know has been banned all my life, it has not stopped me using it once in my Adult life if my government bans e-cigs/juice I'll just add it to the list; it won't in any way STOP me using it that's for sure, just like making {OTHER STUFF} illegal has not stopped me using it.

NO DAMN FAT POLITICIAN THAT ONLY CARES ABOUT THE TAX TAKE IS GOING TO BE ALLOWED DESTROY MY HEALTH!

Over here fat politicians who only care about tax takes are busily legalizing previously nefarious aforementioned well known plant. Suddenly it's a medical cure, also an all-American pastime.

Wonderful what the almighty dollar can do for the little people, ain't it?
