i heard about cotton wick sooner or later giving off flavor like wet cotton shirt. i'm using organic cotton ball, and when i'm near the end of the vape with rda, getting bit of burnt sugar taste and that taste. the wick is not burnt, and there are still liquid in the well, but i can see it's low.

what can i do to get better flavor? i'm not sure when to stop vaping until that light burnt sugar taste. but that wet cotton shirt taste is nasty.

bullet, ssg nailed it. It sounds like to much cotton. When you wick your coil it should be moving freely in the coil, not sloppy but the RDA shouldn't move when you pull your cotton into the coil. If you find it's to tight just grab both ends and give it a little stretch. Remember it will expand a little once it wicks liquid.

And just curious, how do you know what a wet cotton t-shirt taste like ;)

I used cotton for a very short time. It tasted like cotton. Then I tried the Koh Gen Do. Wow. Sounds snobby I know, but it was a huge difference for me. Had the same problem with the Evod tanks, tasted like plastic. On the other hand, I'm fine with simple one-flavored juice. Go figure. Anyway, if you're one that can't shake the cotton flavor, try the Koh Gen Do.

I can taste atmosphere in cotton. I never did like it as much as ss mesh but the ease of building was awesome but then it made my nose runny. I had a runny nose for two str8 days, non stop runny nose and that was it with cotton for me.

If your outside and someone is cutting grass up the street later I taste the gas at the beach taste the water etc etc..lol
cotton is great but you gotta change it to often and I am allergic..

Some people more sensitive than others to it I gander..

Lol Koh Gen Do is totally worth every penny. The box of sheets is enough to last you a lifetime, or like.. At least 3 years of wicking and loaning sheets out to friends.

I've noticed a cotton taste when using cotton, only on the initial vape. So I like to "prime" my cotton. I'll put some e-liquid on it before actually taking a vape, and basically just burn it off. It also is a good time to see if wicking is working well, and if there are any "juice pockets" in the cotton you can kind of poke 'em out and make sure no juice is stickin' around.

But yeah, with KGD, there's no necessity to prime. Initial vape is as good as any.

i had the same exact thing. i always thought it was my allergies , but when claritin d didn't work.my nose would run 24/7 . I remember sleeping with a shirt on my nose from all the sinus. Since switching to rayon its night and day. i cant even look at cotton without sniffling.
