Rage post.

When I first got this tank 8 months ago I was able to wick it and vape on it without any problem.

For the past 2 months every juice i put in it taste like dry hits even though the cotton is never burnt. I've tried everything from regular organic cotton, japanese cotton pads to cotton bacon and still can't seem to get this thing wicked and tasting right. There's always a funny nasty taste no matter what cotton or wire I use. I've used regular Temco Kanthal to Lightning Vapes Nichrome wire to Gplat wires and still get the same nasty [edited] weird taste. I've watched multiple videos on youtube about wicking this tank and none of them are helping.

If anyone has any good recent info on how to make this tank not taste like a burnt portaloo please let me know. Thanks.

Did you change anything significant in your builds since you got it like wire gauge, how you wick it, etc? Do you have any other tanks that are working well for you and if so what are they? How many watts are you running typically?

Basically, the more info you give us the easier it will be to help out :)

Exactly my thought. Flavors tend to get trapped in the o-rings and can be a bear to get out. You might have to break it down and give it a thorough cleaning. After cleaning, give it the old sniff test. Sometimes I have to soak my o-rings in alcohol to get the old flavors out. A burnt flavor might very well be the insulator on the build deck and it might need replacing to get that out.

1) Completely Field Strip and Clean the tank in Hot Soapy water
Rinse thoroughly
2)Inspect all parts carefully - Clear Air passages with a small wire/paper clip
3)Correct any notable damage

This should be done every few months as maintenance anyway.

*Honestly, it sounds like you have wondered so far off your Good trail, you got lost.
Unless something is Physically Damaged - Seals/insulators - there is no reason your Good original build should not work now.

Thanks for the tips guys/girls.

I think I have figured out what the problem was. After unscrewing the center pin and completely taking apart the build deck I noticed that the air flow holes on the build deck were not lined up correctly with the air flow holes on the base of the tank. For some reason the threads on the build deck can catch 2 different ways when screwing it into the base. I noticed this when I was putting it back together. The build deck was screwed down completely yet the air flow holes were not matching up. So I took out the build deck again and tried a second time and the airflow holes matched up perfectly. I'm not sure if that was the problem but it seems to be tasting a little better since I fixed that.

You got plenty o responses but I think it's a below average device. Mine has been shelved forever. I got it to vape fine. No problems. Just too tank of a vape for me. Then I git the Aromamizer and that was that. Same goes for the Bellus.
