wetbox mod question pertaininhg to atties.

I was wanting to build a 18650 "wet box" with the feed coming up from the bottom. I have seen how it can be done. My question is.... Will I be wasting my time? I have "de-bridged" a couple of atties, and not long after that, they died. One of them was fairly new and the other older. So thinking and remembering from videos.... I guess the liquid on the coil is not a good thing. It actually needs to be on the wick. Stands to be, as I have seen the progression to go above the atty. Any thoughts?

It sounds like you may have damaged the atty's while debridging, I have several debridged atty's well into their 2nd month of life with no problems...

I have "de-wicked" my atties and that has proven to be a winner. I have a Silver Bullet. All my atties are 510(have several). But I have purchased a 901LR and a 801. I am liking the 901LR. I also drip. Thus am wanting to build "wetbox" to help the "dripping and driving" situation. Plus, I want to "mod" versus buying for the sure enjoyment of it.

I probably burnt them by using 6v in my Silver bullet. I was also messing with 6v at the time.
