ok miss...predict mine,lol.
i talked to the post master this morning and she admitted they screwed up and scanned wrong and said it should be somewhere in the post office but she would find it....didnt happen today though...so what cha say??

Seriously, Misplaced, I'm really sorry this is happening to you. I think at this point (and in light of the fact that you've got the admission of the postmaster in your town) I would contact the vendor and tell them what happened. While there is a ridiculous timeline for filing a claim for loss, I think the claim has to come from the vendor. He/she may either be able to send you out new goods, or at least be better able to put a little pressure on your postmaster from their end (certainly as someone who probably does a lot of business with USPS). My crystal ball doesn't work on cases of negligence by the USPS. I hope she comes up with your package tomorrow.

alas, these are items i purchased from one of our members here on the forum. ive bought several items from him and he always adds extras and gives me great prices...

If it's an individual, rather than a vendor, I think I would still contact him. I'd also start looking for the next step up on the USPS food chain. I'm one who goes to the president of the company when I don't get satisfaction at the bottom. I think they call me a *&%witch. Good luck.
