There are many good options so it's difficult to say what's best. Look for high discharge (I'd recommend 10 amps or above constant discharge rating) safe chemistry (IMR or hybrid, not ICR protected or unprotected). The 2900 mAh Panasonic PF is a good all-round battery.
i think those from LG, Samsung and Sony(if they are still available) with high amperage should be decent e.g. 20A and above. use the microcoil pro app to help measure what amps are u putting out
I was the same when i started, Think my though process was if i get high amp batterys now, when i inevitably want them later on i do not need to re purchase. I use the purple efest, but always know your limit on resistance, some great links have already been posted for this.
