Went to my local B&M today to try out some new juices. I was talking to the owner about the Pro Tank 3 and 2 I bought there awhile back. Said I just did not like them at all. He said that surprised him, but he had just received an adjustable air flow base for those tanks. He has put them on all of his tanks and loves it. I teased him saying, "You are always finding a way to take more of my money." He gave one to me for free and said try it.

What a total difference it made. If you are like me and have those tanks laying around not being used, get that new base and I bet you be using them. :2cool:

I just rebuild my own PT coils and make them vertical and stuff cotton around them instead of through them. Much better draw and flavor over regular coils :)

I've been thinking about trying that...are they tricky to make? Compared to a normal microcoil, that is?

I am seriously considering getting an aerotank base for my original Protank.

I highly suggest you do it. A $5 investment that'll take your PT1 to flavortown. I bought one, installed it on my PT2 and was very impressed. So impressed that I bought two more and I only own one other PT2.

I love the aerotank base on my protanks. Makes a huge difference!!
Also, awhile back, everyone was posting about the replacement heads that come with the protanks not performing well. I switched over to one of the replacements today (because Im too lazy today to rebuild) and it was hitting dry after the first hit. I took it apart again and realized the white rubber cap thing that sits on the wicks seemed rather large (long). I switched it out with a shorter one and I have no more dry hits!

I am seriously considering getting an aerotank base for my original Protank. I have not used it since the day I got it and it just sits there. It was in impulse buy that I've kind of regretted ever since.

It works really well on the original Protank....works on the Davide also with no problem,

It's literally the same thing, you just bend both leads to one end and instead of wicking through it, you stuff cotton around it similar to what a carto is like. There is a thread on it, try googling vertical coil protank.
