Hello fellow vapers. I believe e-cigs are my ticket to kicking an 8 year habit of analogs. I have always seen the gimmicky mall venders from time to time & never gave e-cigs much merit. My other addiction (SlickDeals), brought a sale from Vapage.com (50% off) to my attention and immediately jumped on that deal. Picked up a VmodXL premium kit, then went searching for a good resource to do some research. Finding this thriving site has been amazing, and quite frankly a life saver. Thanks all for the wealth of info & look forward to diving head first into this scene!

Thanks for the welcomes, Tuesday will be 1 week smoke free for me. Less than a week in and I already have a provari added to my lineup. HeathersHeavenlyVapes juice coming in this week along with a vivi nova tank. I'm thinking I should be set for a while, but was thinking of picking up an atty for dripping. Anyone have a good recommendation for a good dripping atty for the provari?

Welcome and congrats on switching.

It took me 6 months to get around to trying an Ikenvape atty on my Provari.
There may be better out there but the IKV atomizor is very good imo.
Great place to start.:vapor::vapor:

And another one down the rabbit hole...

Vaping is a whole new world. Hands down the best thing I've ever done for myself was quitting smoking and picking up vaping.

However now Vaping has become a hobby of mine! I started with an eGo-T and some cartos and moved up to a Lavatube fairly quickly. I thought that the Lavatube was the cat's meow... VV is just so much better than fixed volt vaping. Then the Lavatube started breaking (quite quickly as well, not even a month after I got it), the bottom cap split in two, the atty connection was crooked, and as the battery faded the voltage would drop and I would notice a decrease in performance, that's when I bought my Provari, LOVE IT.

I thought I couldn't get any better than my Provari with a nice Boge3.0 carto in a tank. Loved it, then I started reading all about the rebuildable attys and after a month or so of browsing the classifieds, I finally just broke down and went straight to the source, bought myself a DID with a couple of clear windows from e-vape.gr. O M G that took my vaping to another level. I'm in love with my Provari and my DID with my nice Trippy Tip chillin on the top. In fact, I love it so much I just ordered a Provari Mini and a DID Mini to go with the big papa Provari.

Welcome to the vaping lifestyle, the ECF is amazing, the people here are extremely friendly and willing to help. There are fanboys of all sorts of APVs, cartos, attys, rebuildables ,batteries and so forth that will tell you that theirs is the best thing since sliced bread, and it's easy to get carried away, but, the absolute best APV out there is the one that WORKS FOR YOU and keeps you off the stinkies.

Welcome to the new world.

You and I sound quite a bit alike haha. Not even a week of vaping I had ordered the Provari, from all the glowing reviews I had read. I am currently trying to figure out which rebuildable atty to roll with for at home use. I had the DID in cart, but didn't pull the trigger. I might just skimp initially & go with a chinese knockoff & mod/tinker with it until I get the hang of it. Probably a stupid question, but how did you pay for the DID? If the price is in Euros, if you order with a credit card will they automatically convert to the current exchange rate? Or maybe paypal would be a better route.....I don't know lol

I payed for it with Paypal, they automatically changed the currency to Canadian for me. I ordered just a regular DID at the time, it cost me just over $101 Canadian shipped (orders over 70 euros are shipped for free internationally).

Even if you pay via credit card, all major CC companies will convert the charges automatically, however, some charge a fee for that service.

You will be love your new Provari, it just feels solid, and the accuset tech they have is amazing, every hit is the same until the battery is dead. My old Lavatube performed differently 10 - 20 min after putting a fresh battery in and just steadily went downhill from there.

The nice thing about getting a Provari this early in your vaping life is the overall savings, you get to skip most of the trial and error costs.

Haha thanks, I just haven't ordered from any sites overseas before. I agree with you on the Provari, I wanted to get a great device that would be my go-to for years. I might just bite the bullet and go for the DID. Any suggestions on which additional parts I should get when ordering the DID. I did see that its a good idea to get additional nuts for easier adjustment, but do you see any parts that may eventually wear out?

I don't think there are any parts of the DID that can really wear out, it's all stainless steel and brass, other than maybe the o-rings. However, I can see someone LOSING one or all of the small brass nuts.

The only real thing you need or would want besides just the DID itself is maybe a clear window. That is entirely personal preference though, some juices could crack the clear window and the stainless tank is pretty much indestructible, I just like being able to see how much juice I have left.

I would definitely order some extra Kanthal and SS Mesh. The DID does take quite a bit of tinkering and you will go through the Kanthal they include pretty quickly learning how to properly wrap a coil.

Thanks for the heads up! Well I'm pretty much sold on it, just need to order. Know of any vendors that you can buy bulk kanthal & mesh? I'm almost certain I will need plenty extra for my screw-ups

Hello to a fellow Slick Dealer! I was all over that thread trying to get folks to come over here for all those questions they had about vaping. :) It was an SD thread that taught me about ECF and PVs many months ago, so I tried to pay it forward. It is quite a different mindset on here; people are so patient and helpful, whereas n00bs on SD sometimes get torn up like fresh meat. Sometimes SDers buy things before they know what they are getting into, just because they can't resist such big savings, lol. I pulled the trigger on the VMOD the instant I saw that deal posted. I think the SD effect happened and Vapage really got cleaned out. I'm very happy with mine so far, just wish I had bought more tanks for all the ejuice I am stockpiling thanks to all the reviews on here.
