What device are you using? In general, most people vape between 6-8W depending on the setup and eliquid. Typically, it's easier to scorch the rubber grommet with low resistance than high resistance head on the same wattage. For reference, here's an automated excel spreadsheet made by another ECF member to help determine what voltage/resistance range (default range of 6-8W).

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...mated-vaping-power-chart-vapingpowerchart.xls

However, depending on design your VVN, the burnt taste could also be attributed to factors other than the rubber grommet as Vapoor suggested. For instance, there's a silica skirt wrapping around the wick/coil (at least on branded VVN) which are easily scorched and gives off a burnt taste and had to be removed completely to get raid of the foul taste. The bottom line is that most delivery systems are finicky in nature, if you don't want to deal with the the hassle of having to troubleshoot or aren't interested in rebuilding them to save you $$$, then I would recommend you give carto+tank a try. Less hassle, more consistent performance, and it'll save you time/$$$ over the long run.

OI!!! Thanks for all the help guys. So I went by the store and had them try it, they admitted something was off too. So I gave them the juice. Problem #1 LOL, I asked for pina colada and he gave me something other then that LOL. So kind of creme something. Anyway, they were super nice and gave me a new bottle of juice, and also gave me a new tank. The kanger t3 tanks had come in today so they gave me one of them free of charge.

I dont know that im out of the woods yet though. Even with the flavor not what I asked for something was still def off. So Im really starting to think I may have a bad battery. Going to throw it on the voltmeter tomorrow at work and see what its putting out. Now, if it is the issue im going to them to get a new battery. They currently sell the ego brands a lot of folks talk about on here.

I will say I like to take long drags at a time, usually 2 or 3 in a row. Am I causing damage to the tanks by vaping this way? If thats possibly the issue then how long can a draw at one time. I watched a review video for my setup someone posted here in another thread a few days ago and the guy was drawing for a good 10 seconds. And probably only waiting like 30 sec or so between vapes. So I assumed a little less then this would be ok.

So if its not, will a VV battery setup allow me to take longer draws and more frequent draws? I usually take about 3 good draws every hour or so.

Glad everything worked out for you. So what device are you using? Ego-type? Well, most PVs have ~6s draw cutoff build-in as a safety measure (not in mechanical mods), but you can release and press the fire button immediately right after before reaching the threshold if you want a longer draw.

Im not 100% sure. Someone told me in a thread a few days ago but I can't find the thread. Its made by red kiwi and is an eleo serie. I have had a couple occasions when I press the button the on light gets stuck and I have to quickly unscrew the tank to get it to shut off.

So I should press for 6 seconds and let off and press again for another 6 seconds?

If you think vaping is for you then I would recommend skipping the Ego-types VVs and get an APV. VAMO if you're on a budget or Provari for its build quality, warranty, customer service, if $$$ not an issue (~$200).

A VV/VW APV will give you more control, but the bottleneck that determines whether your setup can keep up with your vaping is largely determined by the delivery system. With that said, I chain vape with 4-5s draws using ~1.8ohms T3 on my fully charged mechanical (4.2V) without any issues (occasional dry/muted hits if vaping on my VVN with >50% VG content eliquids).

This one?

Looks like its a regulated passthrough. BTW, what's the resistance of the T3 you received from B&M?

So I should press for 6 seconds and let off and press again for another 6 seconds?
Preferably before the cutoff <6s, as some devices (i.e. Ego) will shuts off automatically if you reach the 6s threshold. You can test by taking the clearo off the battery and press/hold the firing button until it shuts off (Ego will give flash 3 or 5 time and shuts off).

Well I am def on a budget. Apv's are the really big ones right? I need to be able to keep it semi discrete. Which is why I like the pen style the best.

When you say delivery system you mean the tank right?
In that case I would recommend you to just stick with your current setup for now, you can enjoy vaping without VV/VW by choosing the right resistance heads (1.8ohm if your device is 3.7V regulated).

Yep, eliqid delivery system = dripping attys, cartos, clearos, genesis-style RBA, etc.

That link isn't working for me. Looking on the t3 tank it doesn't have any writing on it that indicates what it is. It holds 3.0ml.

Yes. Except mine says eleo -serie on it instead. Http://imgur.com/tCvjKGv.jpg This is mine which of course now has the the tank.
It's a Ego-sized ecig....but....that's not a T3 sitting on top of your battery (looks like a CE#). Is that the one you just received from the local B&M?

Yeah sorry I thought I made that clear above but didn't. The one in the pic is the original that came with the kit. I now have the t3.
Okay, just wanna make sure :).

The vender's website doesn't specify the resistance of the T3 heads, you might want to measure it with a DMM but it's probably a 2.1 or 2.4ohms.

Well, all you need now is to fill and vape. One note though, after you filled the T3 and screw it on top the battery, take a few primer draws (inhale without powering on the device) to help saturate the wick/coil before firing the device. Also, for T3 and other bottom-coil clearos, keep the tank at least >1mL full. When the eliquid level is low it tends to start gurgling and floods.

Hi Cnm. The writing you are looking for is located on the shank that extends from the coil area(bottom where you unscrew to fill) up into the center tube. It will be marked with the target resistance of the coil(x.xΩ) right up the tube about half way from bottom to top. The next time you remove the bottom to fill the tank, take a look so you can have the knowledge of what you are using currently. And I agree with your other post also to meter your battery output so that, again you know what is going on. Otherwise Its good to see you are getting it all worked out. Happy Vaping.

I have run into the same proplem.... switch flavors often and drink plenty of water

when i find a flavor that i really like i have a tendency to vape it so often that my taste buds become mute after a while to it . i keep a second and third flavor nearby whenever i sense that happening.. a day or so later i go back to my favorite ( atm peanutbutter) and its business as usual.

im glad i am not the only one this happens to

could also be "vaper's tongue" ...especially if you are vaping your face off (like i do 9 days in)

LMAO @ "vaping your face off" :D

I'm in rare form lately, the mental pic is just hilarious for some reason!

I'd guess this as well (well, vaper's nose..)- some hot yea with lemon helps more than you'd think. Easier than a netipot as well.

If your sinuses feel dry and thick, then this is likely the issue.
