Ok thanks for the feedback all. I'm not really getting on well with this ecigarette because I don't really like the button pressing so I bought a trial ecigarette with VG and I get on better with that but I've been using unflavored ejuice with my ecigarette because of asthma and allergies I wasn't too sure how I would cope with flavoring. Anyway the flavor I got was tobacco and I found that when it hit the back of my throat it sometimes caused me to cough and I also noticed that I got really bad indigestion with it. Am I going to have this type of reaction with all flavourings? I usually smoke golden Virginia and they have an ejuice that tastes like Virginia tobacco but I can't get this in the trial ecigarette because they didn't have it available. Any advice on flavourings would be much appreciated, thanks!

The problem you describe could be due to the way you are drawing the vapor... vaping is quite different from smoking a cigarette. One big difference is with vapor the nicotine is absorbed mostly in the mouth, throat & nose, rather than in the lungs as it is with smoke. What seems to work best is to slowly draw a mouthful of vapor and hold it a moment in the mouth before inhaling, then allowing air to mix with the vapor as it is slowly inhaled, and exhaling through the nose. With a bit of practice, and by paying close attention to how the vapor feels during the entire process, it's become pretty natural for me now to adapt to different flavors, nic levels, PG/VG ratios, etc. as well as different equipment (LR or SR atty, etc.) just by noticing the "feel" of the vapor.

Hope this helps... Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Also, check the vendor list at ECF's main page and just get a "simple" flavor... avoid the tobacco flavors at 1st if you're concerned about allergies and just get a single flavor...line a "vanilla" or "grape". The attempt here is to reduce the # of flavoring chemicals to minimal.

Poor atomization will also cause e-juice to be a bit harsh. The 100% VG juices are usually smoothest (sometimes too smooth...can't even feel when you inhale them... no TH at all). So I"d wonder if it was wicking well. If you have a spare bottle... put a couple of ml of juice in it, add one drop of water. Try it then.

I've had a look at the tornado tank ecigarette and am thinking of getting that one, it's a bit more pricier than the one I got but if it means I won't have to keep adding a few drops of ejuice all the time (it seems like it at the moment) then I don't mind paying the extra. Has anyone had any experience with the tornado tank? Is it a good ecigarette to get?

Also I keep meaning to ask, does it have to be distilled water that I add to the ejuice? I'm having great difficulties in finding distilled water that doesn't come in big massive bottles, can it be any type of water that I add? For instance cooled down boiled tap water?

Thanks again for everyone's advice and feedback, you've all been and continue to be a great help! I'm determined to get off the analogues in the quest to give up smoking!

Can't tell ya about the tank. As to the water... boil it... but put the lid on. Take the evaporated/condensed water off the lid... (that's one way to distill it... steam). If your water isn't too awful hard... you can just use tap water (IMO). Since you probably only need a few drops...the condensed steam is the easiest way to go if you want distilled.

The main worry about water is the minerals that can collect on the coil. Since I plan on a new atomizer every month... I don't worry about it.

Yeah, but 1) Riha asked how to find distilled water that wasn't in a big container. 2) Distilled water can grow bacteria over time, so ...meh. 3) He/she only needs 2 or 3 DROPS of it. 4) why throw out 99% of the water and waste a plastic jug? I suppose you could keep it around for the iron... but nobody irons anymore!

2 cents. It is a valid option, either way.

I think you will find that Bottled Drinking Water works just as well as Distilled.
