I bought an Aqwa Square iTaste V3 from UK e-Cig store, then because I couldn't get - after complaining - even a replacement kit to show the variable wattage, bought a Vamo V5 from esmokeuk.

Both worked well for the first couple of hours or so, but now zilch. Both will not vape. With my preferred Vamo V5 I got nothing at all after changing to my re-charged batteries. Loosened the clearomizer a wee bit (allowing a bit more air in) and then just got bubbling noises from the e-liquid, but no vapour at all.

Voltage on 4v, wattage on 8w. (I did try variations). Thought perhaps I had burnt out the Clearomizer. Changed it for a new one. It worked for about five minutes. Then back to bubbling and no vapour.

It's a pity I cannot find a beginners guide to all this. Thank goodness for my disposable Tesco 10 Motives which continue to give me a kick.

What am I doing wrong? Any guidance greatly welcomed.

Hi Cain, and welcome to ECF.

You don't say what you're putting on top of the VV3 or the Vamo, but bubbling is usually from drawing too hard, so you suck juice through it's air tube, or from getting juice in the air tube when filling.

With a VV/VW device, you set one or the other. If you put it in VV mode, you set the volts, and adjust as needed for taste. In VW mode, you set the watts, and once you find the right setting for your juice and taste, it will automatically adjust the volts behind the scenes no matter the resistance of the topper.

But no vape at all? Sounds like a bad connection. Not sure on the Vamo, but on the VV3, after putting the topper on, simultaneously press both buttons at the base. The first reading will be the resistance and show something like A2.2. Keeping both buttons down, the next reading will be the current battery voltage - NOT the setting, but the remaining voltage of the battery. That's followed by the puff counter, then the current setting, either in W or V, depending on the mode you've chosen. If the first reading is NON, it's telling you that it doesn't see anything on top, so it's either a bad connection or a blown coil. Usually the connection.

If you get NO info when pressing both (or any) buttons, you've accidentally turned the device off. The VV3 is a 3-click on the power button for on/off toggle. Sometimes happens when you don't have a positive, firm action on the fire button.

are you tightening the tanks down really tight? If you over-tighten the tanks you could push the center pin on the mod down too far and it has trouble making a connection. If what David suggested doesn't work, you could remove the battery,(make sure you remove the battery or you will short the device) and gently-gently pry the center pin on the mod (where the tanks screw into) up a little bit. A small flathead screwdriver should work fine for this but be very gentle and move it back and forth. It will only come up a millimeter or 2 but it might be enough to get it firing again. I had the same issue a while back before i knew the pin could be pushed down. Good luck.:vapor:

You're flooding your clearo.

Nothing wrong with the mods, it's your clearo or combo that's the problem.

First things first. With a multimeter, verify your output voltage on your mods. Make sure it's putting out the voltage it's supposed to be putting out. Then, verify the resistance of your clearo (with mods, you should be doing this anyway). Make sure that you are setting your mods to fire your actual verified clearo resistance. You may be running it too low.

Second, you may be running too thin a juice for the clearo you're using. Try a different type or put a thicker juice in the clearo. If it's rebuildable, use a thicker diameter wick.

If you're using the same clearos you've always used with other mods, then definitely your voltage is too low.

On batteries that are fixed in place. turn the device off.

Oh, and ghiriki, what battery goes in that mod in your avatar? :toast:
