I cracked ANOTHER glass tube on my Kanger Mini Pro tank 2!!!! Am I doing something wrong? I washed it, let it dry, put it back together and when I was just about to put juice in it I noticed the crack straight down the tube! The tube was sitting on the window sill before I put it together and was cold... Could that have done it?

I'm gonna order 3 tubes now from Desert Vapes the way I'm going through them. Ugh!!

Are the tubes edges finished smooth or are they rough cut? Mild temperature changes shouldn't cause cracking of the glass, but a rough cut edge can lead to crack propagation.

They were smooth. I guess I tighten it too much :( I tend to do that with soda bottles too lol.

I honestly don't think I am but it has to be that. I'm surprised that there is no rubber on the bottom and top to prevent glass on metal grinding. So ...... too since I just rebuilt the coil with cotton and it was puffin great.

there should be a washer between the glass and metal bits, usually it lives in the metal pieces in the groove the glass fits into, but mine have come out during washing.

No, those in the box are for the trip tip. There is a washer that goes between the glass on each piece of metal end it contacts. They should be inside the metal ends, but they can come out and get lost. I have had a few stick to the glass when I break them apart for cleaning. They are white.

Even if they are missing and you tightened your tank so hard it cracked the glass, you have to stop doing that lol. With or without them stop that.

If you cleaned your tank using very hot water and then put them in a cold window sill to dry, that could be it too.
