There are so many good reviews on this tank that I think I've must really be missing something. I really WANT to like the Kanger Pro tank, but I don't. I am not trying to get into any kind of argument or anything so please don't take my complaints that way. I am just trying to figure out what I might be doing wrong.

Ok here are my complaints:

Lack of head value- I'm getting 2-3 tanks of juice and then the heads need to be replaced. They taste awful after 2-3 tanks. I know you people out there are rewicking and recoiling but are you doing this after every 2-3 tanks? I don't rebuild for the most part. But even if I did, I can't imagine doing that every 2-3 tanks. What a chore.

Lack of ability to clean- Can you clean these? I use the vivi nova a lot and those are just way easy to clean. With this pro tank I've tried to detach that post on the head so that I could see the coil and maybe try a dry burn. The post seems impossible to remove. And even if I were able to remove it and dry burn would I be able to get it back in and have a leak-free tank?

Airy draw- I like a lighter draw but really?? This is insane.

Whistling- Every drag I take it makes a rather high pitched whistling sound. Is there a way to stop this that might also cut down on the airy draw?

All help appreciated.

on the plus side, if you have a dog and he runs away, he may return when he hears the whistling from your new tank. jk, I dont have a pro tank, but people seem to like them. I use the Vivi novas and I have no complaints, but do have to clean them a lot due to using all VG based juices. I hate a super airy draw. Maybe they just arent your cup of tea?

I clean my protank (and coil) every 2-3 tanks but I do not replace the coil. The 2.5 Ohm coil in there now has been going strong for two weeks at 50/50 PG/VG. The draw is pretty airy so you have to control your breathing to get a good hit and wicking. An EVOD coil head will stiffen it up a little, makes it about perfect draw for me, YMMV. They are hard to clean compared to a ViVi, but nothing a quick rinse in hot water and a paper towel can't take care of. I usually use my air hose to blow any water out of the tank section if I need it right then, otherwise I'll just sit it out on the counter overnight.

What kind of juice are you using? Usually dark colored juice will foul up the head pretty quick. Dry burning is something I can recommend, it just works. I've done it a few times already and the head works like new. The specs say that the heads are good for 80k burns. Even if it's less you should get good usage out of them. I'd replace the flavor wicks after about 4 dry burns. As far as pulling off the top of the head, just use your hands or a set of pliers. Make sure you run the head under hot water first to clean it out.

Some people like to soak their heard in a high proof vodka over night after rinsing them out. Then they dry them off with a paper towel and dry burn. I remove the flavor wicks and dry them out with a paper towel by squeezing them with my fingers while folded in the paper towel. I set my Spinner to 3.8v and dry burn them until I can see all of the coils glowing. I usually burn them for 8 seconds each time with about 10 seconds between each burn. I replace the flavor wicks and the top. I then dry burn the flavor wicks for 8 seconds. It's worked for me so far. Good luck. :)

Man have I been extremely lazy lately, I used to clean out my tanks and heads under hot water and dry burn the water off, but since I bought an extra box of heads I've just given the tanks a quick rinse and switch heads if the one is gummed up. I've been throwing the heads into a shot glass over overproof rum and have yet to dry and try any of them. Dark colored juices gum them quicker, all of my lighter colored juices don't have many problems and the heads go longer , from my experience thus far.
