I've been vaping exclusively since I received my Ego-C six weeks ago. I used the Blu disposable until my starter kit arrived, I found ECF and a whole new world opened up. I've found the PG/VG ratios and flavors that I like, and a favorite vendor. I also have a twist in my collection of Ego batteries.

My question is this: I'm still using the refillable plastic cartridges. I've got new ones, more replaceable end caps (because let's face it, no matter how careful you are with the cuticle scissors when prying the ends off, they still get chewed up), and mega sizes for when you don't want to refill the small ones frequently.

I hear lots of complaints about them leaking, but I've never had a problem with them. I'm a simple gal, and like the ease of changing flavors quickly, filling cartridges, easily, with no muss, no fuss!

Yet I can't help but be intrigued by all the pictures and discussions of the different types of liquid deliveries. I'm happy with the Ego batteries, not looking to upgrade to a Vamo or Provari. I'm just wondering if I'm missing out by not using a vivi nova, or any of the other types.

All advice is welcome!

I'm just wondering if I'm missing out by not using a vivi nova, or any of the other types.

What got me to upgrade to a vivi nova was that I could always see how much juice I had left. The cartos (plastic cartridges) were ok, but I would find myself needing to fill them all the time cause I was getting nasty dry hits (burnt taste). The viva nova (or any clearomizer) holds more juice and provides visibility of how much juice have left. Its personal preference. But I do love my vivi nova!

If you are happy with what you have and are quite satisfied, there's no need to fall to peer pressure to move on to something else. I've never used the atty/tanks that you use, so I can't comment on their ease of use or the vape satisfaction they give.

I prefer using cartotanks, as they give me the best flavor and convenience of portability without fear of leakage. A slight learning curve, but finding a proven method of use and following it to the "T" and one shouldn't have a problem.

I've also used clearomizers and clearotanks. I'm not a fan of the top coiled clearos like the basic Vision clearomizers and Kanger T3. I prefer the cooler vape of the bottom coil clearos like the Kanger ProTank. However, I still find any clearos do mute some flavors. I still prefer pyrex cartotanks over clearos.

I've made a picture dictionary of the more common juice delivery devices for new vapors. Included are a short description, pictures, and a video for each category:

Hi Katcandoo,

I don't know how good what you use it, I haven't tried those. I got my first ego a few weeks ago and mine came with a CE5, I rushed home so excited because ECF seemed to think my kr808 were only used by those who didn't know any better. I still think the flavor of my greensmoke rock and they save me each time my ego goes dead, down side to those is how expensive they are, but as for flavor and vapor they rock. When I got home and fired up my first clearomizer it was horrible and burnt and nasty and it took a week to get that to be vapable. Granted part of it was just ignorance on my part and the lady at the store told me to make sure I always held it up right... wrong with those long wick top burners you need to twirl to keep the wick wet if it is not full. So sometimes you can get totally disappointed by someone else's magic bullet. Since then I have discovered bottom coil tanks and I love them, but not because they offer a better taste or even more convenience than the greensmoke, but because they are just as good and it is less expensive to use. I like a flavorful cool vape though and so what I like would not be a favorite for someone who wanted a warm to hot vape.

Hurry...you must buy one of everything...resistance is futile...you will be assimilated...(can everything can be explained with a Star Trek reference?).

Seriously, if you're happy, congratulations. I'm the opposite of baditude in that I like top coil clearos like the ce5...but I still use basic plain cartos often...so everyone is different. I'm to the point that I will try something new every couple of months, just for fun, but basically I'm past the point of chasing shiny objects.

I haven't used any of the stuff you mentioned, but if it works, don't fix it.

However, I am a big fan of glass carto tanks, as plastic tanks and clearos can crack from some liquids. And now we have the Kanger Protank option, and a glass t3 tube option, as well, which I also have not tried. But a lot of people love them, so, maybe that is worth a look at.

Then again, it might just be fun to get - maybe over time - one of each kind / style of top end. Like many, I started with a CE style, and really liked them. Then decided to try a Nova, didn't care for it. Got a carto tank and after some trial and error got that figured out, and really like it. Tried a T3, and like it. Et al

I'm finding that the same juice can taste different in different devices. Even when running at the same watts.
The corollary is that some juices just taste / work best in certain devices.

Maybe what OP is missing is the experience of the breadth of vaping and the opportunity to choose among it.

I would say you are not missing anything. I've been happily using eGo-Cs for over a year. I decided to try a Vamo (not here yet) and a Vivi Nova. At least with the one liquid I've tried in the Vivi Nova and the one resistance head I've tried, so far I think the eGo-C provides better flavor and better vapor at a lower voltage on a Twist but the difference is minimal.

Wait until you're far enough ahead in expenses and can afford to try something new just because.

Bad, I'm afraid your blog will cause me to have uncontrollable shopping urges, so I'm bookmarking it for later. Thanks for the resource!!

Never mind, had to read it now, great info there! One thing, though, the T3 is bottom coil. I think the T2 was top coil.

Trust me, stay away from that blog at all costs...or better yet, read it over and over again cause it's awesome and works for me!

Best advice I can give is if your happy with what you have and it is working for you, stay with it. But it can hurt to expand when you a little extra and want to spoil yourself. Grab a nice clero or vivi nova, they work well and are fairly inexpesive to keep and maintain. The T3's are good also and work well. VAMO's are really nice but not required to enjoy vaping (I have one and use it daily). But for out and about I typically sport a 650 ego with a clero or boge 2 ohm carto. The important thing is to find a happy spot and then you can take the time to look at the options.

Have to agree with op. I use the ecab and eroll, which are ego c atties and a basic tank system. This works great for me, especially compared to my first go at this in 2008, tea bags, filler, rubbish batteries etc.... You can easily see the level of juice in the tank.....
I have recently got myself an evod, a t3 and a nano something or other, but I really don't like them, too airy draw, although can plug the holes, and, for me, I don't feel the flavour is a good as the good old tank.

I don't get any leaks, at all.
Op, could I suggest you don't pry off the caps, (really difficult job!) you can fill them through the hole at the top if you have either a needle, or one of those juice bottle that has a really thin nozzle. That way the caps last for ages, eventually they get slightly weakened by the atomiser spike, but that's weeks or months of use. Also by filling the tanks this way, it's quick and easy and you can do it anywhere without too much fuss.

Another reason I think people need mods and stronger juices / more flavor / vape production

1. After vaping, feel your teeth with your tongue. You'll notice they are really smooth because the are covered in glycerin.

Well this also coats your throat and mucus membranes so you feel you need a stronger hit.

If you gargle a lot or use mouthwash and gargle - basically clean your back of tongue and throat - then you don't need a stronger hit anymore.

It's the same with cigs. I was smoking and was like 'why can;t I feel or barely taste this?' I looked at my coffee and smoke coated tongue and realized it was probably so coated with coffee and nic stains it was numb.

So I got a toothbrush and scraped it clean, mouth-washed, gargled etc.

Then my cig tasted normal and felt full strength again.
