Thanks for the replies guys, and I've responded below. Just wanted to mention something else first. I've been chewing gum for a few weeks, wrigleys sugar free strawberry flavour. I noticed tonight that once the flavour had completely gone, the dry feeling and dry taste in my mouth was amplified as I continued chewing the gum. Reading the ingredients, it lists 'humectant glycerine (non animal)'. I'm assuming chewing gum, while not the total cause of my problem, is drying my mouth out more, yet it's meant to stimulate saliva. It also has sorbitol which is another humectant apparently. So I'm going to quit chewing gum and see if there's improvement.
I have experienced what you are going through a couple of months ago. Nothing i vaped tasted good and my mouth was always dry. What i did was gargle with warm salt water along with brushing my teeth more often. Within a week of brushing my teeth 3-4 times a day and gargling with saltwater. It all came back and I could taste my vape. I did which to a whiting tooth paste, dont know if that helped my taste but it got rid of the stains analogs left behind
That's a good idea. I've gargled with salt water before and I think it helped, so I must do it more regularly.

I'll try brushing my teeth more often during the day too.
danny, i am not sure of how to help other than try changing flavors entirely. i had 40 vendor liquids with their own clearomizer and got bored with them all. now i diy and that made all the difference for me. i lean on the high pg side to carry flavor better, in your case, i think no more than 50/50 to 30/70 mix may apply. please let a doctor take a look at that tongue. i lost my business partner/neighbor and good friend to mouth cancer 15mos. ago. he dipped skoal to quit smoking. when he finally had to see a doctor, they caught it too late to help him.
Hi jonhall. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, that is truly awful.
I went for a tongue biopsy in January and went for the result in April. It turned out to be nothing sinister and completely benign. They put it down as chronic inflammation of the tongue/geographic tongue. It looks like geographic tongue. But recently I've noticed that vaping on VG heavy juices and drinking more water started to clear the tongue up and resurface it. Going back to PG makes it sore and the surface starts disappearing again. So it's definitely vaping doing it. I had it when I was smoking, but it was only a tiny patch. So it might be more to do with heat or even nicotine. Vaping seems to exasperate it. Oddly though, the right side surface of my tongue remains unaffected.
How many ml per day have you been vaping.
To be honest, not that much. Probably less than a ml a day most days. Nevertheless, I'm still taking in more nicotine than when I smoked. I think what I need to do is limit my vaping. With cigarettes, I only had up to 8 day, sometimes less, just needed the nic fix. With vaping, I'm inhaling vapour and nic for the sake of it because it's enjoyable, beyond the need for a nic fix.
I don't know if this would help or not, but I saw it while I was checking out Moon Mountain Vapor. It's an herb candy that's supposed to increase saliva production and help relieve dry mouth. I can't vouch for it since I've never used it, but it might be worth a try.
Cotton Mouth Candy - Moon Mountain Vapor
Thanks. Being in the UK, it would be expensive to get hold of and tbh, it's probably not gonna work for me. Did some biotene gel today, made no difference. Be interesting to know what roots and herbs in consists of though.
I dripped a lot before and kinda burnt my buds out, so back to tanks now.
Unflavored works, and sometimes just using less flavoring % is better anyway IMO.
You could also try some tobacco flavors as well just to, "change it up", a bit.
Yeah, I have some tobacco flavours I bought when I started vaping, I can try them again in a tank.
