just noticed the site had a separate category for them.
so how do they differ from the other batteries on the site?

I just ordered a 18650 IMR so I'll try to follow up to let you know how it works.

IMR = LiMn2O4 (also called LMO)

They are an (unprotected?) battery which hopefully have a better discharge profile than regular lithium ion batteries. That is, they should have a higher end voltage. The better performance may be at the cost of the longevity of the batteries, you may not be able to recharge them as many times.

I'm hoping for the best... :vapor:

The length of time, or amount of power contained in the charged battery would be designated by the mAh rating (milliamp hours). However if the voltage doesn't drop on the IMR batteries, a 2000mAh IMR battery won't last as long as a Li-Ion battery with the same rating. However the IMR battery in this example would have better performance because the voltage didn't drop.

I can try to explain by example. It's all explained by Ohm's Law.

I received my 18650 "EH" IMR battery today and just took it off the charger. It's 4.32 volts off the charger with no load, I don't have an easy way to test voltage with load, but the power seems to be pretty good. Seems to be pretty good so far, better power than the "Mars Fire" 18650, more like the Trustfire 3000mAh 18650.

Vapeing on the new Smok Tech Rebuildable at 2.8 ohms.
