What are the machanics behing the E-Cig

What is the basic mechanics behind E cigs. Does the liquid roll down to the atty and get vaporized or is it hot air being sucked through the ployfill vaporizing juice in the polyfill.

it sounds like you are using a cart and an atomizer. The cartridge has the filling that acts as a wick to get the juice to the atomizer. That's why you need to keep the filling in the cart wet and the filling close to the top of the cart so the wicking action can take place. A lot of people will drip which is just dripping a couple drops right into the atty every 6-10 drags on it.

Simply put, it is the liquid that is in contact with the heater and get vaporized as in driping. The polyfill acts to store a few drops of e-liquid so that vaping can be preformed a number of times. It is a very simple technology actually. Wondered why it was not invented earlier.
