Tried all sorts of blends and now settled on as close to full VG as I can get. (Not sure if 100% VG is possible with flavoring)

I figured out my preference when I ordered 3 different blends of the same flavor (70/30, 50/50 and 30/70) The higher VG juice tasted sweeter, smoother (no TH) and since I'm not fond of intense, sharp flavoring, was the preferred blend for me. I don't want to say VG juice has muted taste, but I guess the best analogy I can come up with is Tang. Is your preference on the juice concentrate to be very strong, tarty and sharp vs subtle, sweet and mild?

The other thing I noticed with the 3 blends is the vapor production and TH with 70/30 and 50/50 was very similar. A noticeably bigger difference with the 30/70 blend, far less TH and thicker vapor. With 100% VG, the TH was close to nothing (I vape 6mg nic) and the vapor consistency is definitely thicker and requires far less effort to get the same plume as with the higher PG blends.

So for me, my preference is thick vapor, less draw effort, subtle, but sweeter taste. By draw effort, I tend to take very quick, short puffs that will get me the same vapor exhale as someone pulling in a 3-5 second draw (I never did long inhales when I smoked cigarettes)

That's the simple beauty of vaping, you can totally dial down your preference to the absolute perfect setting you like, just have to take a little time and experiment with different options which really wont cost you much $$ if you have a general target you are trying to achieve.

Happy vaping!

What does it do to your cats?

There are a few threads here on ECF about this... (here's just one: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/health-safety-e-smoking/161930-cat-allergic-pg-vg.html - you can Google the rest) but I'll try and summarize it for you. Apparently propylene glycol was removed from cat food years ago when it was discovered cats have an allergic response to it. Likewise, breathing in clouds of exhaled PG has been shown to cause abnormal responses in some cats, including itching, hair loss and fur-mats... drippy eyes, sneezing, and worse. If you have cats, it's recommended you vape outdoors or switch to VG.

I found out my first week of vaping that I had an allergy to PG, at that time I was using a 50/50 blend. For the first time in my life I broke out with red welts on my chest and stomach. I stopped vaping completely for 10 days to let it go away. Since then I have only vaped 100% and have been very happy. I don't have a choice to add VG, but it hasn't been a problem because I have about 10 vendors I purchase from that have very good juice in 100 VG.

Oh it IS! Reference Boba's Bounty and Velvet Cloud Vapor! (Plus many more)

Also to your point, VG has a natural sweetness on its own (sans any flavoring), which is why you find it to be sweeter. Some people vape unflavored VG and enjoy it as is.

Yeah, I really dig VCV's Catherine the Grape and the Strawb Gwab.

Never tried Boba's Bounty though, someone told me it tastes like eating a fig newton and smoking a Marlboro at the same time... really?

I tend toward high VG juices. I find that VG doesn't dry me out as much as PG and I tend to like the flavor of high VG juices. The "mouth feel" is also better in my opinion. I like the feel of a nice thick vapor. Downside is that it will condense on cold windows, etc. We wash our windows more often now. :p

When I mix my own, the only PG in the mix comes from the flavorings.

I wonder if it is the VG or PG that coats the windows to a haze in my car. I suspect it is the VG because it is so much thicker and plume producing, which makes me wonder about lungs are being coated and what effect that has. 100% VG sure clogs my coils..

The reason Vegetable Glycerine is no longer used in fog machines is because it used to leave a sticky film on everything, that, and it clogged up the machine itself.

I can say from my experience, 100% VG is a heck of a lot better than 100% PG. Yeah, you might get a little bit less flavor (and it really isn't much), but the clouds and the full vape you get far outweigh the cons. When I vaped 100 PG, I got a huge throat hit, but almost no clouds. I felt like my atty needed to be rebuilt because the clouds (or lack of) looked and felt like the coils weren't functioning properly. Added some VG to my mix and bam! Clouds! I personally prefer 70VG/30PG. If your device can handle 100 VG, I say why not?

Lots of the forum members vape high percentage VG juice now. Some by necessity due to PG sensitivity or allergy, but MANY by choice. There are also several vendors who specialize in juices that are strictly VG, including some all natural and/or organic. The vendors compensate for any flavor dilution by allowing for the addition of extra flavoring (or flavor "shots") in the recipe. If I vape much PG I get a sore burning throat and tongue, as well as really chapped lips no matter how much water I drink. With high VG I can vape away as much as I want to. WIN WIN!

Ι have a 100% VG juice. I think yes, the flavour isn't quite as intense as a 50/50 version I tried of the same flavor. It all comes down to what you're aiming for. I usually use that juice in my room or at my desk, where I can get some really nice cloud eye candy, heh.

The reason Vegetable Glycerine is no longer used in fog machines is because it used to leave a sticky film on everything, that, and it clogged up the machine itself.
How come it doesn't do that to the lungs? I'm obviously not trying to bash vaping or refute anyone's claim. I'm just curious.

I've just switched to 100% VG for 2 days... Here's my experience on vaping.100% VG juice so far....

Previously, for the past few months I've been vaping on PG/VG mix juices. But it give me bad breakouts. And so I decided it's the PG that I'm sensitive too.

I switched to 100% VG menthol flavour 2 days ago. I'm using a Ego Ce4 cartomizer. I must say that the vapor is thicker but the flavour is disappointing. It is almost tasteless as compared to the PG/VG mix.

Also, I kept tasting a slight burned taste. My chest feels heavy too. And it seems to make me feel slightly depressed after vaping. But I'm guessing it probably due to the breakouts on my face that's making me feel depress each time I vape...

Is it because of my cartomizer that made the flavour almost tasteless? I love the thick vapor though.

My preference is for strong flavor and I love 100 VG. My go to vendors are Velvet Cloud and Highbrow. I usually am not a fan of extra flavor shots, I think it throws the taste off. But I do ask for it with Highbrow 100VG and they get it right! I've never had my car windows film over that I have noticed. I like the thick, dense mouth feel that VG gives. I like HawaiiVPR's point, VG is smooth versus sharp. I don't do "subtle," I want my flavor strong and up front and have found several VGs that provide that.

Did a little experimenting yesterday just to changes things up. VC Strawb Gwab + Nicoticket Beteguese. VC Vanilla Custard + G2 Prime Vazilla. Both delicious!
