Kanger EVOD, I would be lucky to get 1 out of 5 coils that would work.

It's interesting how some stuff works for some folks and not others. The Kranger Evod kit was my first rig when I first started after being less than impressed by the cigalike junk from the gas station. Used the things until the batteries would not hold a charge anymore (over a year). Kept using the tanks off and on for about another year after that. They finally cracked trying some citrus juice. Used to rebuild the coils myself.

My worst was the Itaste VTR. Half the time the thing would not fire at all and after a few months no matter what tank I put in it everything tasted like corroded metal. Found the thing the other day and threw it in the trash.

Anything KT related, I know they work great for some folks, but for me they always seemed of flimsy build and easily broken, I had paint flecks everywhere and the builds always seemed "loose" somehow, like they'd fall apart on any provocation. I never enjoyed using their products.

To be fair, I haven't bought anything KT in some time, but my son had a 2 batt mod (forget which one) that only lasted him about 3 months before he had similar problems-- paint flecking, battery door getting loose and falling off, etc... I won't purchase another KT product simply due to the fact that I think there are better options out there (for me), and I don't need another potential headache, thanks to my past experiences. I guess if you are super careful with your equipment and you want something relatively inexpensive, it might be worth it.

I agree about waiting prior to buying new equipment, and you can get great deals on the "bleeding edge" as it were.... You're buying out retailers supplies so they can stock that "new" equipment that everyone wants. Which is super fine by me, as I then I'll already know what problems etc., to look out for. :) Or maybe they have upped their game, but my son's mod was less than 8 months old. I don't think a mod should have those problems though to be fair, he got a lot of use out of it...

With that said, some products are just masterful, like the Kabuki tank. It's been around quite a while I think, and nothing beats it that I've found for MTL vaping and flavor.... Some products are just going to be a win at 1 day in, or several years in. Price will PROBABLY affect that, also, I would think, as I certainly paid a fair amount more than I ever thought I would spend on a tank. I do not regret it. :)

The worst hardware that I ever bought was definitely my igo w3. Perfect for a beginner to build on my rear end. Still to this day I can't make a build that works correctly in it and I have been building well over 4 years now. Later on I had acquired another one and it was just as bad. You could never get the top cap off no matter how slick those orings were. I ended up pulling some posts out to make it a dual coil set up with less than favorable results. The only other bad hardware I can recall was the original subtank mini rba that never wicked right. One other that was gifted to me an odd dripper/tank by the name of the goat v2 no adjustable airflow and no drip well or real tank component with what looked to be a quad setup that was really for duals. Man what a horrible piece of crap it is.

I still have a box full of Evods. Red ones. They make great flavor testing tanks. I have a mason jar 1/4 full of Evod/PT heads, too. And I still throw a five-pack of coils in every fasttech order, just in case.

Smok qbox mod.
The Baby Beast tank was fine, the MOD was a nightmare, especially for my first MOD.

The box wouldn't read coils at the right ohm to save its life, got extremely hot when used sparingly, and would randomly ask if new load. Eventually returned it.

Exactly, that is what I used mine for. Still have an old hyper tank a pro tank II and a box of coils in my vape kit. :)

Says something too that these are still frequently used in vape shops for their testers. Admittedly less and less so, but still very common.
