which battery is user preferance. I personally use the sony vtc4 which is a 30amp battery. I initially got it for sub ohm and most of the time my builds are between .8 and 1.2ohm. I found I like micro coils for most of my builds and they thrive with higher ohm builds. So the important question besides batteries is what type of coils will you be making? as well as what type of device will you be using?

there is no such thing as safer in terms of the batteries. I have all three and all three perform pretty similar the difference is in the voltage drop. I find the sony vtc4 tend to last a little longer in the higher voltage range with my builds.

Safety comes with practice if your building a bad coil that is shorting, the possibility of something going wrong with any battery is always going to be higher then a nice solid build.

In vaping, we want high drain batteries, that means that you we want batteries that can discharge a lot of current very quickly without heating up. The higher the amp limit of a battery the "safer" they are. The sony vtc4 stated above has an excellent discharge rate capacity. The popular AW IMR 18XXX series are very good aswell but have a lower amp limit and the smaller they are 18500 -- 18350 the lower is there amp limits.

Stay away from ICR batteries.
