Samsung INR18650-20R is a good battery. for any build under 1ohm you need a battery with a decent amp limit.. this has a 20a limit so you should be good unless you plan on going super low. but this will work just fine for .5

Thanks for the reply there gregamite. Any recommendations for 18350 Batteries? or are this going to be not too good for this kind of builds?

You can't use 18350 batteries with sub-ohm coils.

Please read more about battery safety and coil rebuilding in general before you attempt to do it. It requires knowledge and skill.

Hi,
Im looking to purchase some bateries for my Innokin SVD and a Sentinel M16 Mech mod. Can you recommend a pair of 18350 Batteries, 18650 battries and a charger that will work in both of these devices?

I run my coils between 0.5 -1.5 ohms depending on how im feeling.

The more demanding application in this case will be the 0.5 ohms coils on the M16. As Katya said, there are no 18350's on the market right now that can safely be used for this. 0.5 ohms draws about 8 amps, but there will be shorts so your battery needs to be able to handle that too. Also, if you make a coil just slightly less at 0.4 ohms the draw goes up to about 10A.

I don't use 18500's but I know the AW IMR 18490 1100 mAh with 16.5A max discharge rate is a good choice for both your mods.

In 18650's you have much more to chose from:

AW 18650 1600 mAh 24A
EH IMR 18650 2000 mAh 16A
MNKE IMR 18650 1500mah 20A
Samsung INR18650-20R 2000 mAh 20A
Sony IMR SE US18650VTC3 1600 mAh 30A

Katya linked to some great resources for more information on sub ohm use safety. Hope this helps and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask :thumb:

ETA: I realized I didn't mention chargers. I have and like the Xtar WP2 at about $20. Any of the Xtar line are very good with the ability to bring back batteries that have been run done a bit too far. There are certainly other good ones out there, but I'm not familiar with them so I'll leave that to someone else.

I would forget about using any 18350 battery for a coil < 1.0 ohm. This battery is just too small to effectively fire this low of a resistance for long. Stay above 1.0 ohm and you should be fine. The AW 18350 IMR is the best choice.

If you choose to stay above 1.0 ohm, any of the batteries listed in the second link Katya provided you will do fine. You can't go wrong with either the AW 18650 IMR 2000 mah or the Panasonic NCR18650PD 2900 mah hybrid.

If you choose to go sub-ohm, I strongly suggest you use one of the 18650 IMR or hybrid batteries which list an amp rating of OVER 10 amp continuous discharge rate. You have a few to choose from.

Routinely check your coil resistance. Never fire a new coil without first checking its resistance. Never build a coil that your battery is not rated to power. Always use the Ohm's Law Calculator.

The best chargers are by Pila, Xtar, and Nitecore.
