I have a battery with a bad charger that I am looking at for a friend. The charger is the same as a 510 ( 4.2 v 0.2A) but the threads are bigger. The charger looks like it is modified, the threaded part is glued in the charger and sticks out too much.I am thinking this is not the proper charger for the battery. The battery threads are 7.50 mm and the od of the battery is 9.20mm the length is 66.50 mm not counting the lens cap. I am new and can't post this in tech.
Thanks

point 2 amp as in 200mA? All of my battery charger AC to USB blocks are 500mA .5 amp.

So you have a battery with female threads and you don't know what it is. No idea. Everything female and 510-sized I know of can use a Joye 306 atty - 510, L88B (Blu), Joye 306

AHHHH 9.2mm and female??? RN4081 is my guess - has both attys/carts and cartos available. AZSMokeFree, Vaporkings, and maybe Aquavaporcig have parts. And RN4081 is also the 2-piece Njoy sold by some 7-11's

Note - that low-amp charger almost makes it sound like a disposable though. So if that is a disposable then its electronics might not be compatible w/ standard parts. I heard disposables sometimes run a different voltages.

Thanks dormouse, you must be a Jefferson fan.Yes the battery is female and 9.2 mm in diameter . The charger has definitely been modified, it is the same voltage and ma of my 510 which I have parked and gone with the ego.I think she is better off scraping the batteries and buying a 510.Unless she can get an adapter and salvage her atty's as well.Is the voltage for the rn4081 the same as the 510? Not knowing the voltage and the mah of the battery, it might be too much for it and blow it up.This is sounding like a lot of work to save a couple dollars.I think I'll tell her to buy something a little newer.
Thanks again

I actually do not own an RN4081. I do know RN4081 and 510 are the same electrical polarity (not all female batteries are). NoSmokeVA sells a PCC that is for both 510 and RN4081 (the battery is just pressed down onto the charger) so they must have the same polarity. if I was you I would look for an RN4081 to USB cable or adapter (without the AC part) and then use a PC's USB or any standard ecig AC to USB adapter to charge it.

I think I figured out why your charger's output amps are listed so low - it's a 1-piece charger you have so it is listing the volts/amps already reduced for the battery. With 2-piece battery chargers the AC to USB is typically 5v 500mA output (i.e. standard USB spec) and the battery-specific cable then reduces it to exactly what that battery should get to charge (and that is lower)
