I use an evic mini. I build 1.25 ohm coils so that 30 watts is enough power and I'm only drawing about 5 amps. Then I can safely use an LG HG2 which has extra battery life. That setup is efficient enough to last all day and vaporizes about 7 ml of liquid.

I don't get the low ohm's thing in regulated mods. Seems like just over stressing batteries for no purpose.

+1. The VTC4 is better than any of the 20A parts, but the VTC3 (if you can find one) or the HB6 are true 30A cells and will deliver best safety. Yes, they will be short life, but that's the trade for high current. Limit that machine to 60 watts and your choices get a lot better.

I'm afraid the Herakles Plus wouldn't perform so well on 60w.

I found this link, so I'm confident about the VTC4.
Sony VTC4 Cell - Joyetech

That's the choice I make too. I have a dozen LG HG2s for my RX200s, but all my other batteries are VTC4s. @Mooch rates those cells as capable of 30 amps without dangerous overheating, albeit they are native 20A cells. Above 20A, they get warm, and this shortens their life. But they shouldn't vent or explode. It's the best compromise I know of. I said above they're better than the other 20A cells, and I meant it. It's also true they're not true 30A, and I meant that, too.

I think I'm going with the VTC4, how long would it last on that wattage though?
Not very long. A single battery mod at the wattages you are planning on using will run thru any battery you put in it pretty fast. The main thing is to be safe and use a real 30 amp CDR battery if you are going to run the mini pretty much full out.

Well since the VTC4 isn't a true 30 amp battery it's not recommended?

Hello, I got the eVic VTC Mini Mod with the Herakles Plus tank, and I'm looking to be vaping at 65-70W, what battery should I go with that is reliable and can handle those wattage levels? Getting batteries here is a pain in the ... and is really expensive so I can't bother messing this up, thanks.

I have the same mod but don't use that wattage.

I use Samsung25r and LG HG2 batteries.

I got the same mod a few months ago that I'm using in TC with my home made Ti coils. I got 2 sets of 2 batteries from Liion Wholesale Batteries, a certified supplier for genuine batteries. 2x Panasonic NCR18650B Rechargeable 3400mAh (last long throughout the day), and 2x LG HG2 18650 Battery Genuine & Tested - 20A 3000mAh. Works great for me, just keep in mind that I'm not a power chaser, just running in TC. Make sure you get Genuine & Tested batteries fitting your power need.

.... Panasonic NCR18650 3,400 is not a good battery to recommend.
It is completely unsuitable for using 65-70w in an eVic mini.

This is what the shop you bought them from says...

*Please note that these batteries are not appropriate for most e-cigarette applications.*

I hear you and read that before I got them. I don't use these in that high power setting. They are running perfectly well in my TC setting, which doesn't need that kind of power in my hand. I agree with you, don't use them if they don't fit your need. The 2x LG HG2 18650 Battery Genuine & Tested - 20A 3000mAh may be a better fit, but still I've gathered these for the highest mAh for daily longevity. Higher power discharge can be reached better with much lower mAh.

Anything 60watts and below, any authentic 20amp battery can handle that load using "Watts Law" Watts/Lowest Battery Voltage=Max Amps Needed (example 60watts/3.0v=20amps)

65watts and higher on a single battery, only batteries that can handle that load all have low Mah ratings, sacrificing Mah for more amp capacity. Sony VTC3 1600mah, Sony VTC4 2100mah (20amp battery though it runs 30amps just fine), LG HB2, HB4, and HB6 1500mah like the Sony VTC3 1600mah are all true 30amp CDR batteries on the market, nothing beats them or has a higher CDR, side by side the HB6 is better than its siblings and the VTC3 due to it runs 20Centigrade cooler than even the VTC3 at full 30amps. Highly suggested though is the VTC4, decent mah and flexible to handle that extra stress though you will buy more of them more often under that much strain.

Vaping is balance and sacrifice, what are you comfortable sacrificing and still be happy with the results.
