What can a dead ego battery be used for?

I have seen people offer these in the PIF forum, and always wondered what one uses them for. Mine went dead while vaping after owning it for about 7 weeks, while alternating with 2 others, so it was not punished or anything. Also, do not buy batteries from e-smokey treats. Their warranty is only 14 days. No other complaints about them at all, but I promised them I would remind everyone that there are far better warrantys offered by other vendors, including a 6 month warranty at Liberty Flights.

I have actually seen some people requesting dead batteries on the PIF threads. You might try sifting through the wants section a bit and see if you can find somebody. I can't imagine what they would be used for though. Did you try flushing the button out with isopropyl alcohol and letting it dry?

A battery that no longer works still has parts inside that might be useable. If it isn't very old the cell likely has a lot of useful life left in it. The connector and switch could also be useful. The circuit board may be good or just need a new component. Who would want this stuff? Someone who's going to take it apart and salvage those parts to build a mod. You can't beat free parts.

I heard that Shan B is looking for dead eGo batts. I can't really offer more info than that. Maybe it's for the switches??

Thanks for reminding about warranties! Saving 5 or 10 bucks without a warranty isn't always advisable.

I may just have to flush the switch with iso before giving it up. I may wait for a second one to go to save on shipping. Its about time to order a couple more.
