I've been vaping for about 5 months, but just started using cartomizers. I was using clearomizer, but even then I didn't know what resistance to use???

I have a Provari and just ordered my first tank from Ibtanked...it's great, but I have no idea which cartomizer to use??? I've tried SO MANY juices, but the only one I vape is Poppa Smurf by Joe 6 mg nic in a 50/50 ratio.
So here's where I am....

Boge or Smoktech and why??
What resistance??
Single or dual coil??
Per punched???
If pre punched should I get 2 holes or slot?? All I know is I need the stainless in XL.

Please help me everyone!!! I would GREATLY appreciate all your advice. Thanks a million!

Much of this is based on your personal choice.

What I use is the Ikenvape Platinum LR Mega Punched V2. When I can get them. They are single coil and have 2 large prep inched holes.

My backup is the Boge LR XL prepunched with the single large hole. Also a single coil.

Some people like the small punched holes. Some like the slotted. Some like Smoktech.
Some like to punch their own holes, but I find that to be a hassle and can often ruin the carto unless you get an expensive punch or you are handy and have a good drill or dremmel at home.

I use smoktek primarily, but I'll have to recommend ikenvape, if you can get them while they're in stock.. Smoktek's polyfill is looser than boge. Boge is too compact that it doesn't wick with anything I put in it.

Resistance will be up to you really. I use 2 ohm single coils, mostly. I like the cooler vape, but I don't like the cooling effect 3 ohms has.

I like 1.5 ohm dual coils. That is two 3 ohm coils in parallel. I can load it up with heat, but get a good quality vape that isn't too cool or hot, I really just get 2 ohm single coils. The dual coils will be more stress on your battery. There is less resistance in the circuit, and you actually need to increase the Energy output to accommodate the extra surface area for heat.

Always pre-punched. I haven't had a single tank leak, and that is primarily the reason why.

I think you'd honestly want to try one and two hole. Flavoring and VG isn't the same thickness across the board. There are several methods to produce VG, so viscosity can range pretty widely for it being only vegetable glycerin. I use two hole and three hole pre-punched from smoktek, and two hole PUNCH! platinum series from ikenvape. I use two holes with 50/50 liquid, but some of them can flood the cartomizer if I'm not mindful of the pressure from when I take my pulls. You may be better off with a single hole.

As already stated, everyone is different. I like a warmer vape, so I use dual coils about 75% of the time. But many believe that the best carto's come from Ikenvape. He has his made supposedly to his specifications. They are quite good. I have found it is best to have 3-hole punched cartos regardless of what eliquid you use. You can always add or enlarge a carto hole if you have a Dremel. Here are some options:
