I've tried the 32 street organic cotton from wallgeens and had mostly a chemical / medical taste to it. Boild some in distilled water and some no boiling. Same taste.
Has any one had better luck with a perticular product? Going into igo w. Recently switched back to silica to avoid that taste. Thanks for any input.

I use sterile cotton balls and Sugar and Cream yarn (white) from Hobby Lobby. I boil the yarn prior to using it.

ETA: If you're getting an odd taste, that's pretty normal at first few puffs. It's also possible you're using too much. I had a love/hate relationship with cotton. I thought I was using a tiny amount. I was wrong. You need even less.

hey guys,
I had my love affair with cotton already...... boiled yarn specifically.... in and out of love with cotton a few times.......
I still use it the odd time... the yarn......... but the silica is just too easy.......
and when your ohms are right... the taste is there

seems i'm getting psychological issues with cotton breaking down.....

I know what you're gonna say....... I still like the taste of cotton, but....... we all make our own choices.....

bottom line, we could be inhaling burning crap, it's still better than analogs!

As many have stated Maxim Walgreens brand is indeed organic but never trust labels boil any wicks you get properly as you would with any chemistry equipment. Two or three sets. Boil 15-30 mins strain and rinse with distilled/deionized water and repeat and then either bake dry or let sit out on a non stick baking sheet with ample light. I prefer a bit of both. Yes the house smells like a warm dryer without the dryer sheet smell, which is tolerable

The organic cotton balls from walgreens myself. Have also used the peaches and creamy yarn. Thing with cotton, is if you TASTE the cotton. It means you are burning it. Culprit in most cases- not wicked properly too much through coil that it chokes off the delivery of juice- you taste cotton. Not enough cotton that it can deliver the juice to the coil. You taste burned cotton. I've vaped pure, unflavored, 0nic VG on dual 1.2 ohm coils (.6ohms), wicked with cotton, on a mech with fresh battery, and the only taste I got was maybe a bit of "stale water" taste from the VG. No cotton taste at all.

I use the same and have had problems. With cotton less is more when I used too much I got the cotton taste as well. Try using less cotton for wicking and it should get better
