So Indiana
Hubbs and I have decided to move over to e cigs, and after several hours of research, i'm close, but still have questions.
We've decided on a 510, but what do we NEED? I know we'll need a starter kit for each of us, but what else? Blank cartridges? PCC? Liquid? Do you need a lot of blanks for filling? How many times can one blank be filled? How often do you fill? How long does one bottle of liquid last? Heck, how long does a battery last? There's too many unanswered questions for us to make an order right now, and though i've read the FAQ, i'm still unsure of what to get or where to get it. Help?

When I started, I ordered a 510 starter kit from Rocky Mountain Vapor. To that I added, 2 sets of blank cartridges, a pcc, a usb passthru and a usb charger. I have since gotten rid of the pcc and the usb charger. I have added a usb car charger (from Amazon for $3.00) and 2 more atomizers.

Since I spend alot of time on the computer and in the car, the pass thru is a lifesaver since you don't have to use your batteries. One battery in the charger, one in the 510. Life is good!

Just don't be like me and forget to order juice.....

and go to a pet store to get blue foam to refill cart foam...so u wont havta buy loadsa carts...i would try loadsa lil btls of juice and different brands if u can...they differ...i personally dont like dekang which alot of places have....even if u get tobacco get other flavors 2.i hate tobacco flavors and have loads i will never use!!!!

i started vaping with my other half and to support 2 people i would suggest....

2 kits...or one and a pcc with extra parts...

we get by at the mo on...

4-5 batteries
3-5 atomisers
10 carts
using one flavor at the mo cos its the newest nicest juice ive tried but 3 flavors minimum u will get by on....id recommend get 30ml juice at least to get u started and order again a few days after trying the ones youve got...

really think about where u spend most of your time and get chargers/adaptors to suit...

i also didnt want manual batts but now thats all i get....get at least one to try....

this is a minimum if u are sure you both want to trye cigs....but to be honest i got a kit with 3 atomisers/3 batts/5 carts/25ml juice and this did the 2 of us for a while...altho we did fight over who would take charged batteries versus one battery and the charger...(im at home all day so i got the charger option mostly!!!)

hope this helps...

if you look up blu foam mod you will see people have used it as a plug to hold liquid(at end of cart after dripping liquid into cart and this foam at the top) and as carto filling like regular polyfill...its used in fish tank filters...its best to rinse it first if u do get it...i am open to correction on this as its not my invention!!!

i dont know how to post links im afraid so you will havta search it...ive heard many great things about it tho...it costs very little to buy and will last aaaages

hope i am some help...let me know what you think?

Truthfully, I would not go too overboard on your initital order. Make sure you like it first.

Get your starter kits & definitely some spare juice. But get small botles - sample sizes. Once you know what you like, then you can purchase larger bottles.

It doesn't take long once you get started to understand what you personally will need. It's different for everyone.

This equation consists of two terms. The first term, called the momentum thrust, is equal to the product of the propellant mass flow rate m(dot) and the exhaust velocity ve with a correction factor l for nonaxial flow due to nozzle divergence angle. The second term is called the pressure thrust. It is equal to the difference in pressures pe and pa of the exhaust velocity and the ambient atmosphere, respectively, acting over the area Ae of the exit plane of the rocket nozzle. The combined effect of both terms is incorporated into the effective exhaust velocity c. Thus the thrust is also written

F = m(dot) c

where an average value of c is used, since it is not strictly constant.

The exhaust exit pressure is determined by the expansion ratio given by

e= Ae / At

which is the ratio of the area of the nozzle exit plane Ae and the area of the throat At . As the expansion ratio e increases, the exhaust exit pressure pe decreases.

Hope this helps 8-o

Sorry, kidding.Get a couple of bottles of juice with your kits, the carts dont last long, and keep reading, the answers are here :D

I tried one I liked it and loaded up on everything then got sample bottles to test

hate to spend 50-60 dollars on liquid you will hate

Bad,

Do yourself a favor and search the forums here for "the wonderful world of vaping" it is a guide to it all. I would post a link, but I am not allowed to yet, even a link within the forum!

And take an hour to read through (2 hours if you watch all the vids)
Don explains everything you need to know in great detail. He put that together from posts on this forum and real-world experiences.

Written well and easy to understand.

I don't have a 510 so I can't help you with that, but I would strongly suggest that you get a sampler of flavors to start with. The flavors you think you're going to love may make you want to hurl, and the reverse is also true.

MyFreedomSmokes has a nice sample pack and I think that DIY Flavorshack has a good one, too.

Welcome to the forum and best of luck to you!

Yea, i deff made the mistake of buying a little over $100 of stuff when i first started smoking my e-cig a couple months ago. I probably have like 300 ml of juice i will NEVER use. Definitely listen to other people when buying samples. Don't be an idiot like me and blow all your money on random 30ml bottles of e-juice like REDBULL that tastes EXACTLY like it, when in turn, it tastes like rotten cherries. Lol, samples do the trick. Don't forget about your atty's though. When i first started out i didnt know a damn thing about e-cigs. I mean you dont really have to listen to me considering my post amounts, but i look on here every day for advice and what not, and experimentation means a lot of dead atomizers.

Definitely! Once you figure out or not, that it's going to work for you, get small sample packs of a few different juice suppliers. Both Ms T's Bakery Essentials and DIYFlavorShack hand mix to order, and have 3ml samplers available. My problem is I'm so stuck on Ms T's Bananas Fosters Coffee, nothing else tastes good right now. Tried Cinnamon Roll, now on to Thin Mint, and still disappointed. Damn Ms T, damn you! :)
I'm probably a week away from getting re-supplied on that juice.

So, once you do find a juice that really trips your trigger, LOAD UP on it! :)
