I only own cigalikes and am therefore looking to upgrade. I currently own the eRoll, Bloog, Colibri and Intellicig. I'm looking for something that lasts longer, doesn't use cartomisers and delivers a better thoat hit/taste. I keep on hearing good things about the Vision Spinner, but am quite confused.

For example, say I purchase this - Spinner 650mAh Variable Voltage Battery by Vision - what else do I need to get started? Will I need to purchase another charger, or will any of the ones I currently own work? etc.

Not certain if you have compatible chargers or not, but you can certainly get 1 for a few bucks and compare and have a back up in the worst case. Since you have cig-a-likes you can get one to try out as opposed to 2 since you have backup. So 1 x battery; 1 x charger; then maybe 4 clearomizer or cartomizer tanks to try to find the style you like and use the others to be back up.

The tanks neednt be necessarily glass nor expensive. Just a basic top coil design like maybe an Iclear (any except B) or Vivi Nova, then a bottom coil or two like Evods and IclearB and a cartotank. My guess, since you are familiar and comfortable with cartos in general you would be well off with that. Its my go to other than my Reo. Fiddle free/Leak free with great vapor and flavor.

ETA - Im sure djsvapour will be by soon to help out with suppliers for you :)

You could get the 1200mah Spinner with longer battery life, when I had my Spinner I used a Protank2 from kanger and that was an ideal setup for me at the time. Now, They have the Aerotank base for sale so I would suggest getting that as well! If you get a package deal with the charger and battery you won't have to worry about charger.

Best thing about the PT2 is they are rebuildable so when you are ready to, Rebuilding is a breeze!

I really enjoy my Vision Spinners, they have held up well and I've used them alot. I got the 1300mAh because I'm a heavy vaporer an needed the extra battery life. I dont' know if you have a preference in how long the battery is, but the higher the mAh the longer the battery. I was use to a longer pv because I always got the highest one available. I think you'll be really happy with the spinner no matter what size battery you get. Good Luck and Happy Vaping! :vapor:

I would also like to suggest the Innokin vv v3. Its a square shaped, ego with variable voltage and wattage. It uses a standard mini usb port to charge which is convenient. Only down side to this is that it is an 800 mah battery. Wont quiet last you the entire day, but should get you to work and back. Like Reign suggested, slap a protank 2 on top with an adjustable airflow base and youre all set.

I personally recommend this set up to all people looking to upgrade as it has all the features of much more expensive mods at a reasonable price

vv and vw (variable wattage is great for beginners and advanced vapors alike), 800mah battery that can also be used as pass through, nothing extra needed to buy

downside - it is slightly over twice the price but is much, much more usable and will not be outgrown soon

Aqwa Square iTaste V3

and no, your current chargers will not work with spinner battery - so you will want to get this one if you go with the spinner battery - USB Charger by Joyetech - Chargers - Accessories

Thanks for the help, guys. As I work from home I've decided to go with 1x 650mah battery, 2x iClear 16 Dual Coil Clearomizer by Innokin, 1x Evod Bottom Coil Clearomizer by Kanger and 1x USB Charger by Joyetech. I think I'm set.

Make sure it's an "eGo" specific charger. At the supplier it'll say Ego or 420Ma for the Output.

Joye sells other that may be similar, but for the smaller batteries.

My last cig-alike was from the company Halo. I was happy with it at the time but I wanted it to be better. Eventually, I upgraded to a vision spinner combined with a protank 2. I love this setup even though it is bigger than you may want. You can rebuild the coils, flavor is much better than any cig-alike I've ever tried (5-6 different ones). I eventually upgraded to a mechanical mod in effort to optimize my vaping experience. I love my magneto + igo-w, but the drawback is that it requires more work. An understanding of basic circuit analysis (V=I*R) and frequent dripping.

My suggestion would be to look into something like the Vision Spinner + Protank 2. I still use it daily as my on-the-go vape.

Here's my suggestion, buy 2 of these: www.madvapes.com/smok-tech-900mah-ego-rbc-starter-kit.html

For about 30 bucks you'll have 2 batteries, after all can't vape while the first is charging, a spare charger and 2 bottom coil clearomizers very similar to the iClear in size. Yes they are cheap clone batteries that may only last a few months but that will be plenty of time to decide if you like that type of gear.

You can move up from that setup with a vv/vw device and better glass tanks like the Kanger ProTank and Aerotank, or the Aspire BDC Pyrex offerings if you like what you get. But if you don't you're only out $30.

Everyone is giving valuable and good info. I like a strong throat hit and didn't have tons of money. I like using a 1200 Mah and use menthol for juice.
Clearomizers are easy to use for newbies and so is the Kanger.
If you check this site out, there are tons of good options, prices and the charger you need. Plus, whenever I have a question, they always help out. Try and get at least two batters because you will want to have one fully charged in case one dies. Plus, I find that the chargers to stop working and the connector gets rusty, two charger might be smart too. I had to have a charger at home and in the car. I really didn't want to be stuck and crave stinky sticks. I hope I am allowed to put the link. The prices are cheap and the shipping is super low.
