What do you need to make your "rba" top cap airhole bigger?...

so i just ordered my mini did clone (griffin) rba and i was wondering about air holes. it comes with 1 stock 1mm air hole i need to know if i should drill that hole out bigger, drill a second hole, or drill out the first hole bigger and then make a second equally bigger hole. this is my first genesis rba, so its not mandatory but i would deffinetly like to hear some inputs from the more experienced vapers.

You, not the experienced vapers, will be using the atty. For most questions you will find people on both, or in this case 4, sides. If you tell us what you want to achieve, if you know, we can give better answers. My answer is to get an atty with adjustable airflow and see what you like, wide open or closed down, and then slowly sneak up on it cause it is a lot easier to make a hole bigger than smaller.

I would also recommend a pair of channel locks and a towel/rag to wrap and then securely hold the top while you drill. For the pin vise, I personally use those when I drill my positive and negative posts bigger. When working with the small center posts, you want to drill those by hand, and the pin vise is perfect to holding jewler's drill bits (stuff smaller than 1/16 inch)

im trying to achieve flavorful clouds. also im going to use a micrcoil with cotton wick. and the mini did was in my price range to start with seeing how i dont have a beautiful brand name mod yet :( ony a ego vv3 mega battery so the adjustable is a good idea but not convienient. thanks tho

I just needed to hand it to the guy at the vape store and say "hey, you guys drill these out, right?"

Running a dripper on a VV mod, you may be fine with the standard air hole. Try it out and see if you like it. The flavor will be fine that way, and "big clouds" has just as much to do with technique as it does with gear.

novamatt what is that atomizer you are using in your picture looks interesting

It's an EHPro Kayfun lite plus clone. I like it so much that I'm ordering two more when I get paid tomorrow so I can rotate flavors again. If you like a tank style rba, you won't be disappointed.

Don't get over confident and drill it too big. Get a good quality drill bit slightly larger than the stock hole. If you make the hole too big, you might find the draw too airy. When you've drilled it out, try it for a few days at least and perhaps a week to get used to it. It can take time to get used to the different draw from a genesis compared to say a clearomizer type.
I drilled out my RSST and thought I'd overdone the hole size. Covered part of the hole with tape, but within time, got used to the draw and removed the tape. Got maybe something close to 2mm now and loving the taste.
