Title. I tried heating up the cable to make it softer, then slowly cut through it with my Klein's journeyman sidecutters, which are more meant for aluminum and copper, and gave me a very rough edge. I'd rather not have to go to my company's shop every time I want to use their cable cutter, which doesn't all that great of a cut anyways.

Golleeee.... that's a LOT of work trying to use a dremel! Best way for me is to get a fairly good pair of scissors, the kind you can tighten up the screw on, so you can "pull" the blades pretty tight, meaning they will be stiff to "scissor". This screen isn't thick enough to give that much trouble. Plain ol fashioned "black handle" sewing scissors are best. Remember, tighten the screw pretty firmly....you'll be amazed how well they work. Don't know about frayed edges, but doubt there would be much of a problem, they actually cut well.....

lmao, yeah SS cable, I use duct tape around the cable then use some heavy duty wire cutters. then put the worst end in the tank with the good end for my coil wrap.

Never thought of using the dermal wheel, though the place I ordered from last time sent the cable in my choice of lengths, just were to tall for some applications.
