I4 charger. I have 8 AW IMR 18650s in rotation along with 6 18350s but have moved on to these Sony's VTC5s

Where are you ordering from? Stay away from VTC5 batteries right now, they have been unable to be sourced for awhile now. The chances are very very high that they are fakes.

I use a VP1, and just received an SP1 last week for easier travel (and USB power output). Xtars are rock solid. Just check out HKJ's reviews of Xtar chargers; his reviews are insanely in-depth and picky, and he basically concludes at the end of every Xtar review that it is about as good as it gets.

I realize Nitecores are very popular, but man, I've read a whole lot of threads of Nitecores going bad. I mean, ALOT. Never once an Xtar. Just sayin'... seems like there's a definite possibility of them going south on you.

Plus the multi-bay Xtars don't drop down to a 350mA charge like the Nitecores do when you put in more than 2 batteries.

when a young egyptian samurai tries to climb the tower it came tumbling down

why?

had no REO

so therefore Gortex Llama believes in transparency of the ways in which we conduct our day to day lives
transparency to the Llama

Lithium batteries and trickle charging after charged don't mix
The Pila does not trickle charge after charging, it shuts off the charge (0 amps)
The trickle charge statement in the Pila manual is a misprint that has been around for years and was never corrected
BTW - This information is from CandlePowerForums years ago, before I bought my Pila

YOu are correct, the PILA does not trickle charge, that was a mistake in manual, and the fact that it does NOT trickle charge is what makes it *great*. It terminates which is what you want, safer for the batts as well.
